This is a very exciting book! I like this book because Mandie does not disobey or misbehave like she sometimes does. The group prays alot and the ending is great! A must-read(all Mandie books are must-reads)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting Continuation of 'Mandie and the Cherokee Legend', April 13, 2004

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Mandie and the Ghost Bandits (Mandie, Book 3) (Mass Market Paperback)
The year is 1900, and twelve-year-old Mandie Shaw, her family, and some of her closest friends are secretly bringing the huge load of gold that belongs to the Cherokee Indians, to a bank by way of train. However, while the transport is being done, a gang of robbers disguised as ghosts cause a train wreck, steal the gold, and injure Mandie's beloved Uncle Ned, who is now missing. Mandie and her friends must now save the day by finding Uncle Ned, and with the help of God, bringing him back to their home alive, and finding the stolen gold, which will be used to build a hospital for the Cherokee Indians.

This was an exciting continuation of MANDIE AND THE CHEROKEE LEGEND. The adventure was amazing and fun to read about, as Mandie and her friends are always getting into crazy binds, but always finding a way out for themselves, and saving the day in the end. It was nice to see some old friends of Mandie's featured in this story, as they were greatly missed in the last book in the series. The talk of God was a little bit more significant in this book, as the mess that Mandie and her friends got into was greater than in the past. Overall, this was a fantastic book in the series, that finishes with a cliffhanger that will have all fans of the MANDIE series running out to purchase MANDIE AND THE FORBIDDEN ATTIC. A must read!

4.0 out of 5 stars What I think of Mandie and the Ghost Bandits, December 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Mandie and the Ghost Bandits (Mandie, Book 3) (Mass Market Paperback)
Mandie is a twelve year-old girl that is a christian. The book starts out with Mandie getting on a train carrying gold. Later on the train ride the gold is stolen by a couple of ghost ''bandits''. When Mandie arrives in Asheville her and her friends Joe, Sallie, and Mandie's cat Snowball set out to find the gold that was stolen. This book is alright. Sometimes the book got boring, and somethime it really got you thinking. While Mandie and her friends are looking for the gold they are kidnapped. Will Mandie and her friends escape and find the gold? Read Mandie and the Ghost Bandits to find out!
