3.0 out of 5 stars Out there mandolin music.., June 9, 2002

David and Andy really step out to a different plane on this album. This is not the easiest album to listen to. I relate it to Miles Davis in the 70's, or John Coltrane in his later years. David and Andy don't always follow a nice pretty melody, but this is still a powerfull album.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mandolin Abstractions, April 8, 2000
This review is from: Mandolin Abstractions (Audio CD)
Some selections in this album are interesting, but for the most part, we didn't care for it. There is very little melody. We would classify this album as "experimental" music. I'm sure these pieces are hard to play on the mandolin, but the results are not particularly pleasant to listen to.
