The title of this item very misleading. "100% recycled wool blanket" does not mean 100% wool. This really should be read as "100% recycled, wool blanket." Yet again, punctuation is crucial.
That being said, this blanket really is no different than many other 75% wool/25% synthetic blankets available on Amazon. (I know, I own several) It is pressed wool fiber, so in less than an hour of having it unpacked, it is already starting to show the little wool lint balls that accumulate on these types of blankets. Also, it does have a slight odor when new. In my experience, the smell fades after a few months of use but can be a little nauseating if you're wanting something cosy right out of the box. All in all, it is not a bad blanket, but I fail to see any added value to justify the increased cost over other wool/synthetic blankets.
