4.0 out of 5 stars Manduka eko
I used to feel I had jellyfish strapped to my feet and hands, sliding as much as I did. I rarely slide with this mat, so much so that moving onto my crown in urdhva dhanurasana has resulted losing a few hairs. I am very happy with this mat and highly recommend it. 2.0 out of 5 stars It's not that good...
I have been using this mat about 3 times a week for just a few months, at first I didn't like it because I prefer the black original Manduka mat more because it's more solid. Later on I started liking this eko mat, but now I don't like it because I can't get a good grip with my hands, either it's because when I do forward fold I always have my feet there or I don't know...

I rarely slide with this mat, so much so that moving onto my crown in urdhva dhanurasana has resulted losing a few hairs. I am very happy with this mat and highly recommend it. It isn't too heavy and you can cram a lot of stuff in this bag, I can roll my blanket up with the mat and make it fit. It does smell weird, so just let it air out for a week before running off to a full studio class to try it out. The smell was gone after a week. AAA+++

super nice yoga set. i should know, i've gone through enough of them! love the texture on the one side. i never slip which has always been a problem for me with other yoga mats. i was a little surprised when i opened it up because i thought it was going to be thicker but it didn't matter - my knees don't hurt in cat/cow pose so that's all i care about. great bag too! worth the price if you practice yoga regularly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mat, February 26, 2009

I started yoga more then a year now and I have been looking for a good qulaity mat for my daily practise, as I am living in Jakarta, Indonesia and is not easy to find the good mat here, so I started browsing in amazon and I found this product.

I have been thinking for long to purchased this mat as I never feel the material or whatsoever, I finally order this mat last January and I got my mat two weeks after.

I am not using my mat straight a way .... I just unrolled it to get a way the smell. Now it's already I am using this mat and I LOVE IT and this is my third mat I have purchased in a year and so and will my last product that I will purchased.

I know is a bit heavy though but it worth it and Iam not carry on everyday. Now I use this mat for my daily practice and I am not regret it. Thank you to Manduka and Amzazon

Afterall, the best mat

Later on I started liking this eko mat, but now I don't like it because I can't get a good grip with my hands, either it's because when I do forward fold I always have my feet there or I don't know why, but just the front of the mat that is so smooth that it doesn't have any grip... so I don't recommend it... not to mention I haven't used it for that long. I prefer the black Manduka if you don't mind the weight.
