Bogen - Manfrotto hardly need review. What you see is quite literally, what you get. They are a bit pricey, but also have an excellent reputation. This particular mini tripod is meant for very specific and limited uses. Odds are if you are looking at this, you are already aware of this information. If you are looking for a mini tripod that actually extends a little bit taller there are other models from other manufacturers that do not exceed $20. Keep in mind, the weight and size of the camera or optics the tripod is intended to support. I would not trust those little "baby", under $20, tripods to safely support my Rebel with $1300 worth of glass attached. Although, I imagine this particular model may be quite capable? It was in fact purchased for a much smaller point-and-shoot, and I intend to attach nothing larger. It will support pretty much any point-and-shoot, including the Canon S3. Not much more can be said, it's Bogen - Manfrotto, and their reputation speaks for itself.
