Easily fits in my small case where extra battery/memory cards go. Barely bigger than the base of my Canon SD850. Very flexible as far as setting up for timed shots.

Works great with a Canon S2; less great with a Canon A720IS, because the tripod mount for the latter camera is way off to the side.
Nice and compact. I can leave it on the camera all the time.

Work very well with my Olympus E510 with Pencake lens. It's the only SLR with tripod that can go into my pocket.

This little camera stand is invaluable for point and shoot pocketable cameras. It's design and construction is first rate and it is compact enough to leave on a camera all the time. I have a Panasonic Lumix LX3 and sometimes find myself wanting to set the camera on the ground to take macro pictures of snails, for instance. But the LX3 is too nice to get scratched up. With the ModoPocket i now have a dimunitive, almost inconspicuous table top stand with very nice up/down adjustability. I also find that with it mounted on the camera it adds an extra measure of holdability..i just partially open the stand and use my left index finger as a perch. Highly recommended.

I ordered this largely because of all of the 5-star ratings: "Changed my life" "Cured my cancer" etc.
But it's so small, I can't see using anything but a pocket camera with it and then it's only slightly more convenient that getting a book or two to put your camera on. Maybe it will grow on me but frankly I thought Amazon had shipped the wrong item when I received it. Glad I didn't pay list price.

Used on a Megazoom Point&Shoot,

This little stand stays on my Canon SX1IS practically all the time. It's very handy, easy to use. However, online purchasers should really look into the placement of this device on your camera. Some cameras, like mine, have underside battery compartments. Unless you're willing to keep taking taking this off your camera each battery change, you might consider something else.
In my case, the Canon SX1IS camera has a hinged battery door that j-u-s-t didn't quite clear the Manfrotto stand. I filed down one edge of the plate that attaches to the camera and I have to swing out the legs to open the battery door. I must admit, a lot of bother for a little thing... but is stays on my camera all the time. It's handy for those times you want to be in the shot with your friends. Set the legs out, place it on a table or bar, set the timer or use a remote control... it's like having a tripod all the time. If you want to use a regular tripod, collapse the legs an use the 1/4-20 threaded hole... no need to remove the stand. The weight of my mega-zoom works for this stand, but anything bigger or heavier might be a problem. My camera weighs in at 1 pound 9 ounces (730 grams).

This little stand is perfect for my Flip Mino HD 8 gig. I can easily carry the Flip in my pocket with the Modopocket but I am going to ask my wife to sew a small felt envelope with a velcro closure for both the Flip and the Modopocket. I tried using the Modopocket on my daughter's Nikon DSLR and it works but I think this is not for a big DSLR and especially not with a large lense.

This pocket pod is awesome. I use it quite a bit around the house to take pictures without haveing to pull out the tripod. It has no trouble holding my Sony DSLR with a 300mm lens on it. When I am not using it with my camera, I use it as a stand for my iPhone for watching videos while traveling. I was able to pick this up cheap on a black Friday deal, but it is easily worth $20 to me.

I love this little stand for my canon powershot. I can angle it any way I want and allows for sharp and clear time exposures on my point and shoot.

This little gadget is a godsent. I no longer have to depend on a friendly waiter/passerby to take a group picture with friends or family. Modopocket, coupled with your camera's delayed exposure button, is all you need to stop being the "invisible man" in your vacation shots.
- Small enough to travel with you anywhere - Very sturdy (it's *NOT* made in China) - In addition to serving as a "mini-tripod", it can also attach to things - the back of a chair, a tree branch etc. Bottom line: since I got it, I have seen a marked increase in pictures I take that actually include me. |
