I had to loosen the strap until it's almost at my butt to be able to "sling" comfortably.
The clip design is so-so. Wish they had designed the openings of the bags better. It's also awkward to access anything other than from the top.
In the end, I returned it and went back to my old shoulder bag.
That being said I do have a couple issues with the bag that I didn't notice from the pictures. First is that the bag sits over my right shoulder which feels awkward since every other sling style bag I've used has sat on my left side. The other thing that I do not like is there isn't a quick release on the strap so puttin the bag on or taking it off is a little more difficult than it should be.
Overall I would recomend this bag but had I known those two issues that I stated above, I probably would have gone with a different bag.
It's relatively small . . . one SLR camera, two extra lenses (not big ones), one flash, some extra batteries, a small cam-corder, and a few other small items. Bag is WELL MADE. The straps to attach a tri-pod are "optional". Really nice how they "hide" the strap slots behind the folds of the bag design. And those straps are WELL MADE. Nice anti-slip on them.
The Velcro dividers can be put in a number of ways . . . kind of annoying trying to get them situated where I wanted them, so minus 1/2 star for that. Ultimately, I did get them sort-of where I wanted them . . . but they annoyed me as the lining of the bag was kind of "loose" which although it affected nothing else . . . made placement of the dividers a challenge.
The other minus half star was for the HUGE clip on the personal compartment. What were they THINKING? That thing is metal . . . weights almost as much as the whole bag (exaggerated just a bit) and it isn't very easy to slip in & click (understated a bit). VERY handsome clip, but definitely NOT functional! And if it wasn't clipped . . . it flopped around & could put a dent in your forehead if you weren't careful. Once I decided to keep the bag, I cut mine off (both sides) . . . & melted the resulting nylon frays with a lighter: now although the "personal item" compartment a little less secure it is far more convenient to access.
I'll be using this bag for ACTIVE shooting not for packing & transporting my equipment for travel.
But the sling is too hard to use. It's not a practical bet.
