This book has trouble deciding whether it wants to teach basic artistic technicalities or just be a genre sourcebood with some how-to-draw guidance for intermediate artists. So many books flub this choice completely, this one doesn't do too bad a job. Again a good sourcebook for someone who wants the genre archetypes layed out simply with some advice on drawing them. But little else. Would be good for the reccomended younger reader.

Enjoyed the layout and material. Feel it would be good for anyone who is tired of the how to books that never get to the point.

Like the others, this book is a great start for an artist interested in drawing slightly manga style fantasy art. It should be a good addition to the resources an artist in the cartoon styles need.

A good book to look at, but the tutorials are difficult for beginners. It does not have step-by-step instructions on how to draw.
