I bought this set for my husband at christmas. The tie was nice but the watch was cheap, cheap, cheap. It was flimsy and didnt fasten well. It broke the 2nd time it was put on.

The hype is not worth the product. Cheap cheap and a disapointment on Christmas Day. Think the watch was tossed with the Christmas wrappings, have not seen it and haven't even heard a "Honey, where is the watch you gave me?" Yep a real let down........

I have mixed reviews for the combination. The special mad this a good buy. I love the tie. It works for many combinations. As for the watch, it seems cheap. At first, I couldn't get the time to change. After messing with it for a while I got the time to change. The band seems cheap and doesn't clasp easily. But for under $25 it is worth it.

The packaging on this is really nice. There were no flaws or defects that I could see. I was very pleased with the tie, which is why I bought it, but the watch was very flimsy feeling. It reminds me of a watch I bought in taiwan for 10 dollars. I guess the message is that it's a nice package deal, but don't expect a hundred dollar watch and a 50 dollar tie for this price.

I bought this set when it was a Goldbox deal -- as the offer was about to expire. I bought it in a hurry and read other customer reviews only AFTER I'd placed my order. All the reviews were negative -- to one degree or another -- mostly having to do with the watch. I agree. The tie was just OK -- it looked nice but it is a rather wide tie -- more than is currently fashionable, but it would do.

The problem was the watch. The outside of the dial had a rim with 15 minute increments marked in raised numbers. However, the numbers did not line up with the numbers on the watch dial and the rim could not be adjusted to line up. Additionally, the watch stem would not move properly and I couldn't set the watch. According to the instructions, the watch was also supposed to display the date -- and there was no such feature on the watch. It was a total bust. I returned the set. FYI, the paperwork that came with the watch that said it was manufactured by Croton, which offers other watches of various prices on Amazon -- none of which I will ever consider buying.

This set is really handsome and perfect for a young man going on job interviews since getting out of college (I think he only wore a tie once before!) The box, however, was damaged so that when it was opened the lining of the box came out. My guess is that is not the normal case as the items in the box were of such high quality. The set looks much better in person -- the damaged box was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

I bought this as a gift for my father-in-law for Christmas. He loved it. The tie is really nice and the watch was a decent weight. It made a really good gift, especially since I got it as a gold-box deal!

I was so pleased with the tie and watch. My husband was also. The presentation in the matched stripped box was beautiful. I recommend this item.
