All I can say is that is was a great book!! The characters were interesting and thought provoking. The plot was exciting and kept me turning the pages. I can't imagine a book of this genre that I would like more. I'm waiting rather impatiently for the next book!! So Mr. Guerra...start writing!!!

Well worth the read,

Manhattan Messiah is a story of good triumphing over evil that I recommend to even to readers who normally don't read this type of story. Mr. Guerra has a knack for both providing details that really allow you to know the characters and move the story along briskly at the same time.
I eagerly awaiting the follow up to see how this never ending story ends!

Manhattan Messiah,

I LOVED IT. I couldn't put it down. In fact, I wished it were 200+ pages longer. I hated to see the book coming to the end. They should make a 'movie' out of this book,,,

This book is a must read for fans of the supernatural. The characters in the book are so real. the author makes you believe you have met them all , from the leading lady Sarah To the leading man Hank to that evil villain. They are all so interesting you can not put the book down. !!!
This story would make a great movie.. When is the new book coming!! I want to know what happens to all of the characters... Tell the author... get on the stick and get the new book finished !

This book has it all. Good vs. evil is reinvented in this wonderfully descriptive story. You become intertwined in the lives of the main characters until the end. I found myself thinking of the story even when I wasen't reading, not many books get me to do that!!!! Wondering when another book is coming out???????

A Classic Religous Thriller,
By Joseph M. Berngartt (Parma, Ohio USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Manhattan Messiah (Paperback)
This is a classic tale of good versus evil that takes the New Testament and moves it into the late 20th century. Characters include modern representations of both Christ and one of Satan's minions. It is very well written and I had a real hard time putting it down. I recommend it highly and can't wait for a sequel.

A novel of hope in these unsettling times,
By A Customer
This review is from: Manhattan Messiah (Paperback)
I found this novel to be very interesting and, in the long run, a book of hope in these days of uncertainty and that little nagging feeling of fear that's been with us since 9/11. I loved the writer's main characters and knew he had me hooked when I didn't peek at the end of the book to see what the outcome would be. The writer made me care about what would happen to the "good guys" and he was able to evoke feelings of anxiety about what was to happen next."Manhattan Messiah" reminded me to some extent of the "Left Behind" series of books in the ongoing conflict of good vs. evil. The author's description of Waerloga (a term I hadn't heard before and wasn't in any dictionary I have!) was pretty scary and made me hope that I never run into this character! I also enjoyed the connection of Charlie with Jesus, Sarah with Mary Magdalene, etc. All in all, a fascinating "what-if-this-were true" kind of book!

I couldn't put it down!,

Very thrilling and exciting. The author makes it very real. In one of the sacrificing episodes ( sounds interesting huh? That's because it is very interesting ) I actually felt like I was there in the room with all those worshippers of Waerloga. Guerra came up with some wonderful names for the characters. ( Also this book would be an enticing movie; but not as good as the origanal book "Manhattan Messiah" by Michael Guerra ) Anyone with predictions about the new millenium has got to get this book. Actually everyone has got to get this book!

Written with Heart and Soul, the story beckons You!,

Manhattan Messiah seems to be a story written with a lot of heart and soul of the author. Mr. Guerra has given us a great adventure with the age old story of good versus evil, captured in the solid development of a diverse group of characters. His main character, Hank, touches the reader with many avenues of why he is who he is and his quest for light over darkness. Very interesting colors of historical fiction with his female lead and her daughter. I am VERY curious to see how Megan spins her own story in the author's sequel. I think the most touching aspect of the book were the miracles. How wonderful to even contemplate in fiction the possiblilty of such miracles! My congratulations to the author for spinning a wonderful tale with so much character and scene creation to place me right in the middle of all the action!
