This review is from: Manhattan Portage Large Professional Bike Messenger Bag (Apparel)
I purchased this bag last spring to use as a bike bag. I reason being, it is large, made of sturdy cordura material, and is bright enough to be seen by cars at night. I wish they would take a look at other bike messenger bags and realize that you NEED A STABILIZER STRAP! Not only to prevent your bag from shifting mid ride, but to prevent injury.

I had 2 hard cover text books, my lunch, and a few other small items (tube, multi-tool, etc.) and my whole bag shifted on me. Lost my balance, got lots of scrapes and bruises, wrecked a brake lever and a shirt. I don't blame my fall entirely on this bag, but I have a feeling my weight distribution would not have changed so swiftly resulting in said tumble, had there been a stabilizer strap. After this, I tried to instal one on my own, but you would have to compromise the integrity of the water proof liner to attach a d-ring to the bottom corner.

Other complaints, the strap is uncomfortable, even with the pad you can buy for it, the bag itself is too boxy, needs to be cut more to fit close to a body, and there is room for water to get into the top. All in all, I'd say get this if you plan on carrying it on your shoulder, do not use as a bike bag. I ended up going with a chrome bag, the price was higher, but worth every penny.
