5.0 out of 5 stars Favourite baby toy of both my kids
The Whoozit was given to my daughter as a gift and frankly before I had it, I'd have looked at the price and bought a cheaper toy. However it was on her favourite toys as a baby. In fact she played with it until she was 1 1/2 years old, which is a very long time for a baby toy. Now it's my son's favourite. He only has the use of one hand, but it's light enough that he...

3.0 out of 5 stars Super fun, no batteries required, not so durable...
My sister gave this toy to our then 5-month-old baby boy for Christmas. When I first looked at it, I wasn't that impressed, but as soon as it got into my little one's hands, he was mesmerized by it. The high-contrast colors (bright yellow eyes on blue with white stars and the black-and-white circles on the back) make the toy a visually stimulating play piece. The pink...

He only has the use of one hand, but it's light enough that he can play with it. It has 7 striped legs with different shapes and textures, a plush red nose that squeaks with a mirror underneath and a terry cloth semi-circle mouth that you can hold onto. The back has a black and white bull's eye pattern which was fascinating to both children when they were under 2 months old.

My daughter loves this toy. I had initially purchased the Baby Whoozit as a fun portable toy, and she loved it so much I bought her the big one for home. She loves to laugh at the face, and play with the rattles and squeakers. The hanging toys are also great teethers, and she enjoys chewing on them.

When we first picked it up at a second hand place, a few moms in the area said that this toy was THE toy to have. I've never been the type to buy THE toy to have but now after taking the chance and buying it, I now understand what that means. It means when leaving the house it's the only toy I need to remember to grab!

We got it when my baby was 3 months old and she absolutely stays entertained with it. One thing about any toy is just because a child doesn't show interest in a toy that moment, doesn't mean in a month they won't show interest so always let some time go by and just see if their interest changes before giving it away.

The pink rings encouraged my baby to put her fingers through them and manipulate them. The green triangle she just loves gumming it because it's ridged. She just now at 5 months is attracted to the top yellow and red items that rattle and she shakes them. She likes the pink mouth and grabs it in a carry hold, helping her with dexterity. The nose she doesn't do much with but it does squeak when pressed so it gets her attention if I squeak it if she's upset. There is a little mirror under the nose I do wish was a little bigger but it gets her attention so I guess it does what it is suppose to. The back is a black and white bullseye and she really likes that suprisingly.

All in all, if I had to buy this toy new for the price, it is worth it seeing how my little girl is enamoured with it. Most toys you are lucky for a baby to spend 5 to 15 mins with it, on our car trips and out in public while eating, this does about 15 to 25+..so that is pretty long. I know no stuffed animal or any other infant toy I bought her even comes close to the time she spends with this one.

My daughter got this as a gift when she was born from a friend that said this was her girls favorite toy. The backside of this toy is a black and white bullseye, my daughter at 2 months could not stop looking at it. Now, at three months, I have this hanging on the side of her play pen (with the help of some link-a-loos) and I prop her up next to it with her boppy and she reaches for the nose, smiles and babbles to it. It so funny to watch her with it. Next to her mobile, and my silly faces, it is the thing that she seems most interested in.

5.0 out of 5 stars great toy, September 1, 2004

I personally didn't think there was anything special about this toy when I got it, however it is my daughter's favorite! It's got the primary colors that babies enjoy, and she loves sucking on all the tentacles. This toy goes everywhere with her!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great baby toy., February 4, 2005
This review is from: Manhattan Toy Whoozit (Toy)
I have bought each one of my kids this whoozit and I recently bought my daughter one she is 81/2 months old only I bought her the girl version called whoozit tizoo it is shaped like a heart and WOW she loves it. You can play peekaboo with it and she learns the different shapes and textures. I LOVE this toy and have for years. We also bought the small version for travel. This is a great toy for when they start to focus on things and they will fall in love with it and sleep/play with it for a long time. WHOOZIT is worth every penny...

5.0 out of 5 stars Whoozit is a favorite!, July 16, 2004

My infant loves this product. The whoozit is colorful, sqeaks, and rattles when shaken. It also has a mirror under his nose. The product has firm and soft parts on his "arms" and also has key hole openings on 2 arms (easy for holding). The Whoozit meets several criterias for growth and development. It has different tactile parts/shapes, a mirror, sqeaks, rattles and is soft. The whoozit is a favorite.

My daughter is five months old and she loves this toy! She's had it for two months, and at first she would just look at it, but now she shakes it around and chews on it, and she loves the different textures on it. One of the little "arms" on it has a crinkly sounding piece that she just loves to play with. Some of the other pieces have rattles inside, and the nose lifts up to reveal a little mirror. This is her favorite toy, and we take it everywhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars Super fun, no batteries required, not so durable..., February 2, 2010

The pink mouth is actually a handle in disguise. It's sewn to the body at the green "cheeks" and again right in the middle of the "lips" which provides two places for our little one to grab it.

The toy has 7 arms; two yellow stars that have rattles inside, two red hearts that have squeakers in them (think rubber duckie squeak), two pink plush rings (no noise makers, just stuffing inside), and one green corduroy triangle that has crinkly plastic inside. The big red nose of the Whoozit is sewn only at the top and acts like a flap. The nose also has a squeaker inside it. The underside of it is black satin and when you lift it up, you discover a little mirror underneath sewn to the body so that your little one can use to look at him or herself. Each of the arms are connected to the body by a soft satin strip with some form of a black and white high-contrast pattern. The back of the toy is a large black and white target design of concentric circles. Each arm can also be stuffed inside the toy because the toy is actually two pillows sewn together. If you wanted to, you could put your hand all the way through the toy from one arm to the next. Inside the toy it is lined with bright red satin material.

The only complaint I have is that the stitching started to come undone on one of the pink rings. Other reviews seem to suggest there are some quality issues regarding durability as well, so I cannot give this a super-high rating.

Overall, my son (now nearly 7 months old) loves this toy. He'll play with it for some time and keep himself occupied. It's one of his favorites.

Our 4 month old son LOVES this toy. I got it for him when he was 3 months old and it quickly became his favorite. It occupies him for a good half hour as he trys to figure out how to get it in his mouth! All the "fingers" of the toy enable him to grab it and hold on better. I'm ordering the "Baby Whoozit" next!!!
