My son is OBSESSED with this toy. He sees it from across the room and immediately wants it. The toy is easy for a little baby to grasp, has black and white pattern on the side opposite the "face", can be chewed on, and "rattles" when shaken. We lost this toy on a trip to Hawaii, so I am buying a replacement. When I recieved this item (origonally as a gift), I thought....what a demented looking rattle, what was she thinking......but now I understand. The people at manhattan toy company know there stuff. I still refer to the rattle as the "demented rattle", but hey....if my son likes it...I am happy to buy it. We also have a few other "whoozit" items....my son loves them all.

This is absolutely the best baby toy! My son had one and ate the braides all the time. It made teething less painful. One time we took a 5 hour flight across country and he chewed it the whole time. So, when my daughter was born I bought 2. She is 4 months old and loves it!!!!

I have an ancient Baby Whoozit I bought for my now 11 year old son when he was a baby. When I pulled it out the other day for my 4 month old, he grinned and cooed at it but couldn't hold it very well. So, I was quite excited to find this one on Amazon. He adores it. He can hold on to it easily and loves to chew on it. He especially likes the ropes around the face. I think it might actually be nicer for him without the rubber teething area, but that's not enough of a detraction for me lower my review. I just have to make sure he can get a hold of the handle by raising the teether up towards the face. He's teething with a vengeance but doesn't really like to chew on plasticky things. He likes the cloth areas better.
