My son is OBSESSED with this toy. He sees it from across the room and immediately wants it. The toy is easy for a little baby to grasp, has black and white pattern on the side opposite the "face", can be chewed on, and "rattles" when shaken. We lost this toy on a trip to Hawaii, so I am buying a replacement. When I recieved this item (origonally as a gift), I thought....what a demented looking rattle, what was she thinking......but now I understand. The people at manhattan toy company know there stuff. I still refer to the rattle as the "demented rattle", but hey....if my son likes it...I am happy to buy it. We also have a few other "whoozit" items....my son loves them all.

This is absolutely the best baby toy! My son had one and ate the braides all the time. It made teething less painful. One time we took a 5 hour flight across country and he chewed it the whole time. So, when my daughter was born I bought 2. She is 4 months old and loves it!!!!

I have an ancient Baby Whoozit I bought for my now 11 year old son when he was a baby. When I pulled it out the other day for my 4 month old, he grinned and cooed at it but couldn't hold it very well. So, I was quite excited to find this one on Amazon. He adores it. He can hold on to it easily and loves to chew on it. He especially likes the ropes around the face. I think it might actually be nicer for him without the rubber teething area, but that's not enough of a detraction for me lower my review. I just have to make sure he can get a hold of the handle by raising the teether up towards the face. He's teething with a vengeance but doesn't really like to chew on plasticky things. He likes the cloth areas better.

My five month old niece loved this toy. The colors are so bright and enticing, the black stripes on the other side of the colorful face held her attention for a very long time. The 'hair' gave her little fingers something to enjoy and of course she immediately began chewing on it. The rattles on the neck of the toy don't make much noise but that didn't matter to my niece...she enjoyed touching and tasting it!

I purchased this for my 5 month old son who is getting his first tooth. He loves it! The bright colors keep him intrigued and he uses many different parts to chew. One review commented that it was hard. That is very true. If you are looking for a soft toy - this is not the one for you - go with a plush stuffed animal. But, part of what makes it so nice for my son is that it is hard. He seems to enjoy chewing on toys that are hard (because he is teething) vs. ones that are softer. He saves the softer toys for hugs & cuddles!

Our 7 month old had lost his favorite rattle while in the mall. We went to stores all over, and it looks like they don't make this particular rattle anymore. I was able to find it on online websites, but I only trusted Amazon. Glad that we were able to replace it quickly!

when i received this item i thought it was cute but extremely hard. i could not imagine chewing on this with teeth muchless without. it reminds me of a dog chew toy.

the head of the toy stops my daughter from biting onto the gel things and the spikes poke her in the eye. dont buy

This happy little guy might be just another toy for some but It's our FAVORITE! We've had this since birth & its mesmerized our daughter & always puts a smile on her face. Now she has multiple parts to chose from to chew chew chew on. From his nose, hair, handle & yes even the teething ring! This is a must for teething Lil ones!

My 3 month old grandbaby loves to look at this colorful rattle and is starting to grab for it. What I like best is that it is soft, so when she get s a hold of it and happens to hit her face with it while trying for her mouth, it does not hurt her. She loves the patterns and bright colors. It always brings a smile to her face.
