Manhattan Toy Whoozit Activity Spiral

Finally a toy that makes sense! This is the best thing we've had for the carseat, the carrier, the stroller, or to take along when we spend the night away from home...
It's colorful, interactive, soft (safe even in the car) - my girl enjoys it. It's ultra-practical, easy to attach to just about anything a baby would spend time in, easy to clean, easy to carry - mommy enjoys it, too! Highly recommended!

This is the only stroller toy that I have found that fits well on the Bugaboo stroller!

It wraps perfectly around the bar and is in the perfect distance for my baby to gram all of the hanging toy pieces - and pull most of them into her mouth for teeting. Keeps her occupied for every "awake" minute in the stroller.

This was toy was one of both of our sons favorite toys. It's colorful, encouraged reaching out and playing and was pretty versatile. My only complaint is not have a way to snap it on to the stroller or car seat. It just wrapped around the bar so we were forever picking it up or fetching it when it got pulled off. But other than that it was a favorite.

I bought this toy thinking it would be good to use on my doorway jumperoo. The jumperoo has two rings on the two front suspension straps to hang toys on. But when I got the Whoozit Activity Spiral, it turns out it is very tightly coiled, like a spring; not flexible or bendable. It is difficult to uncoil it or to stretch it out. And there is no mechanism to attach it to things. Although it seems to advertise that you can wrap it around anything, this is completely not true. There is no wire or anything inside it to attach it with. If you feed it through a hole, it might stay. But in the case of my jumperoo, it wouldn't stay hooked on, but just coiled back up and fell off. So then I tried it on the baby's carseat. Again, it wouldnt' stay on. It was too short to wrap a coil from each end around the bars of the car seat, so it would just slide up to the top of the bar as it contracted, or it would fall right off. IF it were made of something stretchier, or if it had wire inside that would allow you to wrap the ends around something, it might be good. I think the baby would like the little dangling toys on it. But as it is, it won't attach to anything we have. And when it is so tightly coiled (as it is all the time unless you're stretching it out yourself) the toys are all jumbled up in the coils and not visible or reachable for baby. So to me it is a pretty useless toy.

I used to have this wrapped around the arch of our Gymini by Tiny Love. However, I removed it once baby started using her hands in opposition to each other, because she could pull it off, and as such it presents a strangulation hazard. I still let her use it, but only under supervision. I have it wrapped around one of the straps on my Ergo baby carrier.

I am a huge Manhattan Toy fan, and my babies love several of their toys. The Whoozit spiral, unfortunately, does not make the cut. The product picture of this toy is deceiving. After two months of use, the spiral remains in a tight coil, so as other reviewers have pointed out it is hard to discriminate toys. This would have made an excellent car seat toy, had the manufacturers figured a way to keep the spiral stretched as it is pictured.

We own several Manhattan toys and love all of them, but disappointed with this one. It is cute and well constructed. The ball under the minature Mr Whoozit vibrates back up when pulled. The barrel has colorful, soft, satin ribbons and a quiet jingle sound.
Unfortunaely, we have never found a good fit for this item. It's not long enough to attach to our stroller or car seat without bunching up or falling off. The spiral stays tight and, even after four months of usage, it won't straighten enough to allow expansion for the baby to easily view or manipulate the toys.

I purchased this for my new grandson and according to mom, the baby reached for the toys right away!! Prior to the time he received the toy he was just watching his mobile and lights in awe. With the purchase of the Whoozit toy he began to reach for the objects and mom was very happy!! I would recommend the Whoozit toys for babies beginning to follow objects as soon as they receive a Whoozit Spiral and other Whoozits they may begin to actually play with them!!! The toys can be used strollers and cribs and probably more. Great idea, great toy.

I have this toy attached to my three-month-old's car seat and when I point it out to her, she seems vaguely interested but it hardly holds her attention. Part of the problem is that it doesn't stretch out very much so all the toys are cramped together and therefore hard to differientiate from one another. From reading the description, I thought this toy would be much bendier to fit around awkward spaces but it doesn't seem to have much flexibility. I think I would purchase toys to hang off the car seat separately instead.

My daughter is 6 months old and she LOVES this. We put it on her car seat handle and I now can go shopping and even talk on the phone when I'm out of the house.
