5.0 out of 5 stars They just don't make'em like these anymore.
Perfect for Valentine's Day and/or the sixth date ;-) Aural seduction. "Shining Star", "We Never Danced to A Love Song", "Feels So Good to be Loved So Bad". Ummm-huummh! Your lover will love you for it.

As a collector of music from my youth, 50's and 60's especially, this is a very good collection. Most of the music wwere songs I knew and I was pleased by that. Not all Best?Greatest collections give a majority of music you know, this cd does.

I have searched a long time for this on CD and Amazon was the only one who had it available so, I did the only thing I could do. I purchsed it. I am 100% satisfied and will shop Amazon again, and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars More than 5 Stars, Brilliant, April 1, 2009

(REAL NAME)
A very brilliant compilation of some of the best and greatest hits of the Manhattans. The songs rock. Sweet love ballads with a flare of soul. You will love each one of the songs. This a collectable CD and a must if you love classic soul and R&B music. Despite the review, note that this are however, not the only the best songs by The Manhattans. Along with this collection, why don't you grab the following groups' best/greatest hits collections: The Spinners, The Commodores (with Lionel Richie), The Temptations, The O'Jays, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes - Motown, Philly and New Jersey sounds.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT GROUP, February 10, 2000
I am interested in finding out if anyone out there can tell me where I might get my hands on a song that came out in the late "77" to "79". I believe the name of the song is " the beginning of my end",I think it goes like this- A preacher drove a herast cadillac and a crowd of people gathered around all dressed in black and so on and on. If The Manhattans did not make this song please inform of who did an a possible location of it. Thank you all for any help.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reply to Dymondhead. Not the Manhattans, the Unifics., February 14, 2000
That jam you're looking for is by the Unifics--you're right, it is called "Beginning of My End" and one place to find it would be The Slow Jams Timeless Collection, Vol. 2....also check the Golden Classics "Sitting at The Court of Love" by the Unifics.
