Best adventure I have read yet, January 11, 2011
This review is from: The Manhuntress (Spaceways Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
I am starting to turn more from non-fiction books on our ancient past to fiction books about our possible future, or just sci-fi to any degree. So far I have read in the little episode of my life devoted to sci-fi this book, The Winds of Time, and Into Deepest Space. I think this one is the best of all of those 3. Into Deepest Space wasn't the greatest book ever, and The Winds of Time was an extrodinary classic, but this book Spaceways #7 just tops them all. Probably because it does in fact have eroticness in it, which our society feeds on.
Let me answer a question or two. Yes, there is sex in here. No, the book is not devoted to intercourse. If you are offended by human slave trafficing then this book is not for you. If you ever wanted to read a book about a woman, who was trafficed, coming back and kicking everyone's arse because of what they did then here is a great book to read.
Honestly this book didn't take too long to read, though it is 224 pages. The text size is just right and the book is A+++. Truely enjoyable. The thing I most liked about this book...well..there were a few things. Some of the ideas (which I will not say...I am ashamed :P) in this book made me nod my head and say "oh hewl yea that is a good idea!" and some of them made me want to be the people in the book. This book has absolutely great ideas. The thing I thought was awesomely hilarous was they called a woman's breasts warheads and her "down there part that Amazon won't let me say" for a guy was his slicer. I found that hilarous.
So far out of the 3 books I have read on my sci-fi crusade, two have made me feel emotionally towards the characters. The Winds of Time by Chad Oliver did, and so did Spaceways 7. I didn't want it to end, and when it did I felt like almost crying because I felt very much for the characters. Maybe I am just a crybaby, who knows.
I didn't read the previous books on this series as this was the only one I could get my hands on (I found it for 10C!!!) and I could get right into the book and I knew what the whole story was. The author is that good.
Seriously...pick this book up!
