1. shampoo hair using a ph acid balanced shampoo. towel dry. 2. empty desired amount into a plastic bowl (1/2 bottle for short hair- full bottle for long hair.) apply evenly with a tint brush. 3. do not apply to scalp, but 1/2 inch from scalp. saturate hair thoroughly. comb evenly through the hair until it becomes frothy. 4. leave on hair about 25 minutes. 5. rinse hair thoroughly, wash away from the faace. works best on hair pre- lightened to a very light blonde. fades gradually with each shampoo.

Probably the best dye I've used for the price. The colour stays vivid and bright for a long time, a little goes a long way. You'll have to re-dye every month or two but the price is well worth it. Remember to bleach your hair before using this product for the brightest, most colourful results. But be aware that this will stain light-coloured hair so make sure you want your blue hair to be a long-term investment before making the change. Best dye I've used, love it.

I hadn't re-bleached my hair to do this, i just plastered it on and left it for about 2 hours. My hands were dark blue but they didn't stain for more then about 3 days.
The color is amazing. Before blue i had purple and pink. My roots are still purple and the middle of my hair is blue all around. Then the rest of my hair is natural with some tints of teal.
The effect is quite amusing and this product itself is excellent. The color is still in, after 2 weeks of washing.

It's bright at first
Fades within a week. I have used Special Effects for years and years, and thought I'd give manic panic a try, since it's cheaper. Don't bother going for this stuff. Read more

bright colour, fades quickly
I bought this blue for my hair and have to keep reapplying it every month. I don't shampoo that often - once every 4-5 days, so this shouldn't fade so quickly. Read more
