Editorial Reviews

Review

'This volume is an exceptional window onto the process and ideology of American territorial expansionism. It is thoughtfully conceptualized and provides an impressive blend of conventional and unconventional source material.' - Robert E. May, Purdue University, USA

The amount of primary sources on here are the main chunk of the book. The beginning part of the book is why I wouldn't give it 5 stars. The brief summary of the history of Manifest Destiny in America is a real let down. I was expecting a lot more in terms of information and history on Manifest Destiny but the amount of primary sources more than made up for the disappointment.

It's a history book. Serves it's purpose for class; my biggest beef though is that there's no e-version. It's 2014 (almost 15) - this book was done just a few years ago. It's stupid that there's no option to download immediately... If you really need this book, you better hope that the supplier isn't out of stock.

I needed this as a textbook for one of my classes. The rental process went smoothly. I really didn't have anything to complain about with this purchase.
