I first read Manifesting Your Heart's Desire several years ago and felt I had discovered the key to everything I wanted my life to be. In reading the revised and expanded edition I feel no differently about this, I still feel it's the key to everything I have the potential and desire to bring about in my life. I realize now, however, that this is not a one-time, quickie trick, but an ongoing process of evaluating and re-evaluating the results I'm getting. This book is a tool and a means of interpreting what it is I need to do differently. Consider this a workbook as well as a key to personal power while bearing in mind, keys are useless until we actually use them to open doors!

Within the pages of this easy-to-read "Manifesting How-To", the authors successfully convey the essence of how & why we truly are the creators of our own life experiences. Prior to reading this book, I'd always had a "knowing" about the fact that nothing in life is coincidental... since reading this book, this "knowing" carries a new excitement, which now leads me to look for and expect wonderful coincidence around every corner! Please excuse the cliche, but the information, so simply presented in Manifesting Your Heart's Desire, can change the way you look at your life, if you let it...

I ordered this book from Amazon a few years ago, on the advice of another reviewer commenting on a different title, but same topic. That person claimed this book was the best one he/she (I forget) had read on the topic. I agree, because it's a quick, easy read, filled with lots of examples you may or may not believe (either the occurance or the cause), but all interesting. The final cumulative effect (other personal experiences included) washed out any doubts I had that we have much, much more spiritual power in this physical plane than most of us realize.

My summary, based on what works for me, and the main points of the book are as follows:

Specify the intention, yet be open to greater possibilities.
Affirm what you want in present, positive terms.
Visualize using all senses and joyful emotion.
Trust the process, release control, and accept God's divine plan.
Believe you have what you "soulfully" need. Start small, S.M.A.R.T., and grow into larger goals.
Praise and thanksgiving increase our divine connection, awareness, and human power.

Read the book, become more aware of your thoughts/beliefs, and see for yourself what is possible.

This book is different from all the others; it shows you how they actually did it.

This book about manifesting was first published in 1994, before much of the New Age writings picked up on this concept. I found the book very entertaining and heartily recommend it to anyone who feels a victim of some adversity. It seems that we are given everything that we need and that everything we are given is good, meant for us to experience, deal with, and resolve. I look forward to reading the second book.

Definitely on my recommended book list. A must read for women in business.
