Book Description

1961
This book represents a critical examination of some of the conjectures about the application of scientific knowledge to the manipulation of human behavior. The problem is explored within a particular frame of reference: the interrogation of an unwilling subject. A number of scientific areas have figured prominently in speculations regarding the application of science to the manipulation of behaviour in interrogation. For this work, scientists who had done research in each of these areas were asked to review the state of relevant knowledge in their fields, to consider whether and how it might be applied by interrogators, and to evaluate the recourse available to highly motivated persons for resisting the attempted influence. Their reports constitute the body of this work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, Yeah This is real...., July 29, 2011
This book is perhaps the most clinical book on human influence and manipulation that I've ever read.

THE MANIPULATION OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR looks flawlessly at every aspect of interrogation. How a change in the room temperature can speed up the "police interview" process by causing uncomfortable stress to the subject.

I've written several books on mind control and persuasion and this book and it's both freaky and spellbinding in it's detail and objectivity.

This review is from: The Manipulation of Human Behavior (Hardcover)
This book is written fromt he perspective of POW and interrigator. My great take from this book is how the mind is affected by the physical limitaions of the body. How it all works together. Good knowlege for anyone in the field. It is a technical book, but easy to read as well. Too bad they dont do a reprint of this work.

Adopted in the mid sixties as the foundation of FM32-54 this is a must read for anyone who has a brain a heart and is not afflicted by religiosity and current religio-conservative-repulbi-rat doctrine. Too bad it is only available on Kindel...
