5.0 out of 5 stars A decaying world full of science and superstition, February 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Manjinn Moon (Paperback)
Ty Merrick is not your usual detective. She is a Marshal on the police force of distict one in the new world order. It's a world of diminished natural resources, dictotorship, corruption and grinding poverty and flurshing 'invisible magic'.

Ty is also a werewolf as a result of an accident which left her with weird brain damage. The author has taken an original approach with this aspect of ty's life.

In this novel ty and her partner andy take on the office of 'intelligence'a sink hole of weirdo's and the home of 'invisible magic'.

If you like detective stories and sf, and horror, I reccomend this series. This is the 3rd book in the 'moon'series, with these characters. In addition the author has also written 2 other titles with 'file' in the title with these people.

Worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ty Merrick rocks again!, January 2, 2010
This review is from: MANJINN MOON (Kindle Edition)
I'm officially addicted to the Ty Merrick "Moon" series - the author hooked me with the first novel, and reeled me in with each additional one. This third may be my favorite; Ty's back in full force, lycanthrope abilities and all. It's one of those stories that I just can't put down - I can't stop reading it. I love the fact that it's on Kindle now, and always ready at my fingertips when I need a fix of intrigue and adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab Read, December 31, 2009

Whether you are a sci fi fan or mystery lover, this one is for you. Vitola is a master world builder and the one she created for her "Moon" series is gritty and eerily familiar. Personally, I loved her central character. Ty may think her physical anomily is a problem, but now and again becoming a lycanthrope might come in handy. This is a fab story. Read it and see see if you don't agree.
