5.0 out of 5 stars I like chicken.
This is an amazing CD from an amazing band. I know everyone else hassaid something along the lines of "These guys kick ass;" so Iwon't say it, even though that's true. However, I have to say that this is honestly one of the best CDs I've ever heard. The guys sound like a cross between Tool and Deftones, but with their own style mixed in. The CD has some of the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Its got great instrumental
I loved the instrumental.. it rocked... and it was original.. in its context.. though the singing could be improved upon... though i love hard rock... its not just yelling.. you kinda gotta have the voice for it... Ive been listening to Paradime a new group.. but becoming popular around Oklahoma... they've got good instrumentals.. but the vocals rock...

The CD has some of the most interesting vocals I've ever heard, sounding angelic at one moment and demonic the next. There's really only one word that can describe these guys, and it's "AMAZING!" These guys have me traveling 3 to 4 hours just to see a 40 to 90 minute concert set. More power to 'em!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cd, February 5, 2000
This review is from: Mankind (Audio CD)
Somehow or another I happened across this band and when I placed their cd in my cd player I was completely blown away. Hard, aggressive Toolesque music overlaid with a vocalist who can rap, scream and sing with the best of them. I would probably say a mix between Tool and Deftones but definitely with their own brand of music, Factory 81 is a band that needs some definite attention. Go check them out before they totally blow up. Also check out Juice, Supersoul, 20 Dead Flower Children, Spine, and Incubus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dont rag on it till you've had a good listen through, July 27, 2002
This review is from: Mankind (Audio CD)
First of all.....Yes...It does sound like a lot of stuff....Lyrically, alot more so, but you know, I picked it up and I listened and I was kinda surprised by the Strangeness of it at first, but then I kinda gradually made my way through all the tracks. And I was almost blown away, it was a great Cd all the way through, Very complete. So dont knock it till youve given it a good listen through, and try to listen to them for there own music and not try to think of them as everything else thats out there, Its original enough to stand out in a crowd of so many. It deserves a 4 of 5

I've followed this band for three years now and have been urgently waiting for an album. This album surpassed all my expectations. Not only do these guys put on an enthusiastic mind blowing show, but with all the powerful beats and riffs you won't take it out of your cd player.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably the best f***ing CD I've ever heard, July 5, 1999
By A Customer

I gotta say, I love these guys. I live in Sterling Heights, MI and I have been following Factory 81 for about 2 years now. I have been waiting for the release of this album for a long time, and now that it is out, I know that it was worth waiting for. The music on this album is crazy, it just kicks you in the teeth, and you'll probably also wonder where Nathan gets his superhuman vocals from. This is definitely one CD worth buying. I just wish I could have given it more than 5 stars...
