Better than solid,

Every song on this album is above average, and that in itself makes it worth listening to. There isn't another band like them right now. I was originally interested in them because two of the guys in the band were in an old Bay Area thrash band named Forbidden, but this is light-years from that band. The singer sounds like Dylan Donkin of Echobrain, and goes by the name "Pann," leading me to believe he might be the same guy. If it's not Donkin, they sound so much alike it's spooky. The production is sound, the musicianship is tight, and the songs are infectious and heavy. Solid, distinctive music. My favorite disc so far in 2003.

A Breath of fresh air to the Metal/Hard Rock genre,

This review is from: Manmade God (Audio CD)
When you first hear ManmadeGod you might think that they are just another entry in what appears to be an already overcrowded genre of Metal/Hard Rock but after you listen to their self-titled album a little furter you will realize that ManmadeGod is simply a great band waiting to be heard.Their music reminds me of The Doors mixed with a little Soundgarden and a touch of Stone Temple Pilots in their early years. Some of the best cuts on the album are "Safe Passage", "Swamp Water", and "Bad Creation" however the highlight of the album is "Lizard Bones" this song is simply one of the best songs I have heard in a long time. In a genre filled with Groups that are all starting to sound the same, ManmadeGod stands out above the rest at this point in time. Definitely worth taking a listen to.

ANOTHER CASUALITY,

This review is from: Manmade God (Audio CD)
I had to write this. have loved this album for 2 years now and am so disappointed to hear that they are no more. this band had the potential to be huge! just good old school rock with a twist of metal and blues. but a great vocalist, excellent songwriting and class musicians. what a shame. i was eagerly awaiting a follow up and now that hope is gone. Anyone within earshot would be a fool not to buy this classic. they will be sorely missed in a community and musical atmosphere that could no longer tolerate nurturing. such a shame. the only saving grace could be a "forbidden" reunion with the members now having the opportunity. but i am still in disbelief that this album went unnoticed and the members could not see fit to stick it out with so many different ways to release music (independant, internet sharing ect.). very disheartening..
