Cynthia Weil is best known as the lyricist of such classic songs as "On Broadway", "Just Once", Here You Come Again", "Somewhere Out There", "Don't Know Much", "He's So Shy", "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place' and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling", the most played song of the 20th century. Collaborating with her husband, Barry Mann and others, she has written countless standards. Weil has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (only the 3rd woman to receive this honor in the non performing category), has been honored with multiple Grammy nominations and two Grammy awards for "Somewhere Out There" which won Motion Picture Song Of The Year and Song Of The Year.
She has now branched out to writing prose and it is fitting that "Rockin' Babies" her first published book be music related. She has completed a young adult novel and is now immersed in her second.
