2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as expected
The arrangements are not very interesting. I had hoped to find the melodies shared fairly equally between the two parts and more unusual than the standard arrangements of Christmas music. These were a disappointment.

I have used the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas book for several years both for myself to perform and for my advanced students. This collection contains popular Christmas Carols in a new setting. Many of the instrumental parts are of medium level, although some will require the technically advanced player with well developed range. The piano accompaniments are medium-difficult to difficult and greatly enhance the instrumental part. It is especially nice to hear the arrangment on the Mannheim Roller CD. These are beautiful, innovative and highly worth playing.

5.0 out of 5 stars play all year long, December 18, 2007
I love this music and not having 4 hands doesn't stop me from playing from this book. I enjoy it more with the extra parts. I play the parts I like by combining the music from 2, 3 or all 4 parts to give the music greater depth.. "Silent Night" is my favorite song but, I've worn out all the pages. Mannheim Steamroller's music actually sounds like the CDs and concerts. That doesn't happen often and it's a pleasure to play along with it. (OF COURSE THAT MAKES ME SOUND BETTER). I own all their music and can't wait for more to come out.

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Celebration
The music of Chip Davis in Mannheim Steamroller is like no other music I've ever heard. The instruments come through beautifully. I have several Mannheim Steamroller CDs and have given many to friends over the years. You have to listen and enjoy!

It is a great piano reduction. It sounds mannheim steamrolleresque, even though it doesn't have all the drums and horns and stuff. You have that feel of it just in the piano. it's great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful story and music for the holiday season!, October 6, 2010
I purchased this book and cd and read the book, and loved it so much that I purchased several for gifts. The cd is enjoyable to listen to while making cookies for the holidays, which I do often! A lovely story about a wonderful adventure, makes you feel like you are in the story! Great for families to read around the tree or fireside.....

I'm so happy I found this - great arrangements, fun to play, adore that these kinds of arraignments (duets/two pianos) are being made available a little more.

5.0 out of 5 stars More beautiful Christmas music., February 21, 2008

I have enjoyed all of the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas cd's and this is no exception. We used it at the yarn shop during Christmas season and it was well received by our customers. Yes, people do ask what cd is playing. I know people do purchase these cd's for their own use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mannheim Steamroller book, THE SEASON FOR JOY., January 19, 2008
The pieces were written and/or collected by Chip Davis and are poignant and nostalgic. A most enjoyable reading at the holidays.
Also includes a 2-song CD...very nice.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't recommend, November 27, 2008
is a book. CD is only two songs. Wish I had paid closer attention to the advertisement! Not really worth it, in my opinion. Music is of course top notch MSR, but you are really buying a book with bonus two songs on cd. Not really about the music.
