Editorial Reviews

Sacramento, California veteran emcee Brotha Lynch Hung will wrap up his Strange Music trilogy with his newest release Mannibalector . The gold-selling artist with his Horrorcore lyrics will follow 2010 s Dinner And A Movie and 2011 s Coathanga Strangla with his continued story of a man evolving into a cannibalistic killer.
Brotha Lynch Hung has sold over 1.6 million records independently. Mannibalector, Lynch s 15th studio album will feature Yelawolf on The Package , Hopsin and longtime collaborator Tech N9ne on Stabbed , Mayday on Eating You and others.
A former Black Market/Priority Records star in the 1990 s, Lynch released acclaimed independent albums such as Season Of Da Siccness in 1995 and 1997 s Loaded . Lynch worked with MC Eiht and Spice 1 in the years following, before making a resurgence with Strange Music in the 2000 s

Brotha Lynch Hung's latest album offers his usual; some of the greatest flows in rap, and some of the rawest lyrics ever heard. This album is perfect for fans of this trilogy and doesn't disappoint, keeping the momentum of the last two excellent albums. In fact, this is one of the only modern rap albums (along with his last two) I can listen to all the way through, including the skits (very entertaining and original), the featured artists (including some big features from Tech N9ne, Hopsin, Yelawolf, and Mayday), and the brilliantly haunting and original production. Brotha Lynch Hung is extremely talented in creating these "horrorcore" storylines, and his lyrics and flows only compliment that even more; he truly is a master of his craft. It's really a captivating album/trilogy that plays out like a movie, and I highly recommend you purchase and listen to all three. Support independent hip-hop and purchase this album; not only because it is independent, but because it is amazing and it is better than most rap albums today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Ending To An Instant Classic Trilogy February 5, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Mannibalector is a combination of raw lyricism and the art of storytelling. When you combine these with beat selection that is second to none, you have the ingredients for a true hip-hop classic. Do yourselves a favor and purchase the first two albums of the trilogy "Dinner and a Movie" and "Coathanga Strangla". Whatever mainstream artist you're listening to right now, I guarantee you'll put that on hold. This is real hip-hop from the pioneer of "horrorcore" rap. There's only one Brotha Lynch Hung, and he is a legend. Support true hip-hop, support true artistic ability. I honestly have never been disappointed with any Brotha Lynch album I ever bought, and I have every last one. This album came out today, and I already can't wait until the next one. MadeSicc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lynch is the greatest February 20, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
This is the follow-up album to the coathanga strangla, and before that, Dinner and a Movie. DInner and Movie being my favorite of the trilogy, but this album does not disappoint. A must have for any Lynch fan, or Strange Music Fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST IN THE TRILOGY February 8, 2013
Format:Audio CD
This album is by far some of Brotha Lynch Hung's best work. Ive been listening to him since the early 2000s and I have to say he has progressively gotten better and better, don't get me wrong he could always rap but he went from being a gangsta rapper to a genre of his own. It is rare nowadays in the music industry to stand out independently like Brotha Lynch and Tech N9ne has, to name a few. The album itself just relentless some of the sickest lyrics I have heard in years, if you are a Tech N9ne fan you will know what I'm talking about when I say there is definately some influence. Best way I can describe it is Tech N9ne beats and Brotha Lynch Hung lyrics, ITS SICK AND AWESOME!!!!! Of course you have appearances from several artists from the Strange Music label and they definately spit fire on these tracks. If you are a Brotha Lynch fan BUY this album, at 9.99 its a steal for raw lyricism and talent, support independent artists they don't make the big bucks like these commercially produced clowns you hear on the radio that make millions off of a garbage song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lynch is basically in a class of his own. February 5, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Brotha Lynch Hung has been consistently makin dope hip-hop muzic 4 like 20 years now and on Mannibalector he is still comin hard. Lynch has and always has had that sicc, twisted, and vicious flow he never backs down on the mic and always comes hard. Mannibalector is the conclusion of his genius concept album trilogy about his fictitious serial killer character that goes by the name of the Coathanga Strangla. If u have not heard the 1st 2 parts then check out Dinner and a Movie and Coathanga Strangla by Lynch those r 2 of the best albums I have ever heard and in my opinion some of his best work. Back 2 Mannibalector this cd is definitely worth ur money and it was better than most of the other hip-hop that people are buying today, on this album he features; Hopsin, Tech N9ne, Yelawolf, Wrekonize and Bernz of Mayday, G-Macc, Bleezo, of course COS, Trizz, and Irv Da Phenom. A lot of people will not like the nature and content of his rhymes but if u can get over that this dude is spitin 4 real and he has been 4 many years. This is not 4 the weak of heart and it's definitely not the type of music ur mother will want u 2 listen 2. If ur soft don't buy this $%^T cause u will not like it and it'll probly make u cry. I wont spoil the ending but its crazy yo, listen and find out.

My Top 5 Tracks

# 13 Meat Cleaver
# 9 Something About Susan Feat. COS & Irv Da Phenom

4.0 out of 5 stars Ages well like fine red wine April 29, 2013

Wasn't fond of this album after 1 or 2 listens. Now that I've given it more airplay, it's actually really good. Definitely worth buying, especially if you have the other two in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars The End... February 19, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
Brotha Lynch Hung wraps up his meaty blood soaked trilogy with a flourish on Mannibalector. Lynch is probably the hottest rapper at this point that you have never heard of, a mantle previously held at least in this reviewers mind by Devin the Dude, and, although the two are polar opposites in terms of content, they are peers in terms of their lyrical ability, dedication to quality, and painstaking attention to detail. Stand-outs on this album include "Krocadil", "Disappeared", the brilliant "Something About Susan", the heartfelt "I Give Up", "Body on the Floor", and "Sweeney Tood." Seven handles the production throughout with the exception of NonStop's arrangements for "Something About Susan", and one track by Madesicc Music, and his beats are as interesting and varied as always. As with the first two albums of the trilogy "Dinner and a Movie" and "Coathanga Strangla" the skits add to and advance the story of the Lynch's alter ego and without distracting much from the

Overall a successful conclusion to the trilogy, and one that along with the other two albums should mark Lynch's ascendancy into the top tier of rap artists. Highly recommended.
