Never heard a Supersuckers tune I didn't like,

As someone who never heard a SS tune I didn't like, I'd have to say this is their best effort. Every tune rocks your [tail] off. Be sure your stereo goes to 11.

The Supersuckers kick so much ass on this album. If you have any testosterone in your body this is the musical equivalent. The ultimate soundrack for drinking with the boys and tying one on. Every song is an anthem! THE SUPERSUCKERS ARE THE BEST SEATTLE BAND!

Punk rock for the high school kid in all of us,

On their definitive album, the Supersuckers do what they do best- straight up punk rock. The Supersuckers relish in the simple pleasures of life; getting drunk, getting high, being lazy, playing guitar, and wondering what, exactly, a jackalope is. For anyone looking for a thirty-minute blast of hellbound fun, La Mano Cornuda is a must-have.

Excellent, but not the best,

This CD is a classic, full of loud, kick-ass tunes. However, I reckon "The Evil Powers of Rock 'n' Roll" is the finest Supersuckers album, and is the one I recommend to friends looking to purchase their first SS disc. And of course it goes without saying that these guys are a must-see live band...

One of the best!,

I was hesitant to give La Mano 5 stars, because "On The Couch" just doesn't fit, but the rest of this "albun" (you'll understand what an "albun" is 5 seconds in lol) is so unbelievably GREAT that I couldn't give it anything less. Considering that this was released in 1994, and I'm slobbering over it 10 years later (after just discovering it), this is definitely one to check out...especially if you're a fan of Garage Punk, Cow Punk, Psychobilly, or just plain ol' kick-ass-in-your-face-ROCK! As Lemmy said, "If you don't like the Supersuckers, you don't like Rock and Roll". Buy this!!

UNDERRATED!,

This is one of the most underrated/unknown albums in the history of music. The best Supersuckers album PERIOD! I had the privelege of seeing them on this tour and was one of the best shows I have ever seen. The reviewer who said "On the Couch" doesn't fit doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

Supersuckers - 'La Mano Cornuda' (Sub Pop),
By
This review is from: La Mano Cornuda (Audio CD)
This CD is the band's second effort as it's also my first exposure to the Supersuckers.More or less another Seattle band I haven't much about. The record is good 'aggressive alternative pop' as that's the best way I can describe it.I'd recommend it to anyone who liked the thirty-second sound clips that could be heard on this very site.Every cut has some life to it,which of course is good because I like just about any music that has some vital signs to it be rock, pop, metal, punk, alternative, sometimes even jazz or maybe oldie rock&roll. The tracks that I liked best were "Creepy Jackalope Eye","Mudhead" and the ass-kickin' "She's My Bitch".Might appeal to fans of Reverend Horton Heat,Southern Culture On The Skids and Mudhoney.

The best rock album you've never heard.,

Mix a pinch of Ted Nugent with a portion of AC/DC, add a tad (or is that Tad?) of Thin Lizzy and a sprinkle of Motorhead, garnish with Ramones, and what do you have? Why, the Supersuckers, of course, the most criminally-overlooked band of the 90's. Doubt me? Check out this release. With La Mano Cornuda, the Supersuckers unload 37 minutes of undiluted, scorching, beer-and-cannibis-saturated RAWK! "Creepy Jackalope Eye," "On the Couch," "Born Without a Spine," and "How to Maximize Your Kill Count," are the probably the highlights, but the whole album rips and tears from start to finish. Of all the great music they've released over the past few years, no other album captures the 'Suckers raucous sound as well as this one. Fans of Bush or Third Eye Blind need not apply.
