Book Description

Leisure Historical Romance July 17, 2000
TO LIVE Alone and barely ahead of the storm, Manon fled Scotland; the insurrection had failed and Bonnie Prince Charlies rebellion had been thrown down. Innocent of treason, yet sought by agents of the English king , the Scots beauty donned the guise of a man and rode to London sexiest Sassanach shed ever seen.

TO LOVE But she had no time to dally, especially not with an English baronet. Nor could she indulge fantasies of his strong male arms about her or his heated lips pressed against her own. She feared that despite her precautions, this rake might uncover her as no man but Manon, and she might learn of something more dangerous than an Englishman's sword

5.0 out of 5 stars An EXCELLENT book!, July 9, 2000

This review is from: Manon: With Lair of the Wolf! (Leisure Historical Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I would recommend Manon to anyone! This is a well researched, highly detailed, amazingly written novel. The hero and heroine are charming and brave and the plot enthralling. The reader will feel as if they are actually seeing the same sights and smelling the same smells as these characters. I loved it! It is well worth reading!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't let the editorial review put you off this book, February 18, 2001
This review is from: Manon: With Lair of the Wolf! (Leisure Historical Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The editorial review might be cliched, but Ms. Jackson's book certainly isn't.

Manon might just get me back to reading romance. Ms. Jackson's writing skills are top-notch, flawless. She manages to place the reader in the era without making you feel you're in a history class. Wonderful dialogue with realistic characters who act rationally.

I really liked this book, and wouldn't hesitate to read anything Ms. Jackson writes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Melanie Jackson delivers with a magickal touch!!!, February 4, 2002
This review is from: Manon: With Lair of the Wolf! (Leisure Historical Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Melaine first broke into the romance field with this super historical. I love how she makes the characters come alive. She is a lyrical writer, with a fine eye to accurate history. Her characters are well definited and involve the reader from the start. If you have not found Melanie before and you enjoy romance, then take the opportunity to get to read one of the rising stars in the romance genre today.

Manon is innocent of treason, but was forced to leave Scotland to stay alive and out of the hands of the English king. Disguised as a man, she maker her journey. She was used to living alone, but, she is tempted by and English Baronet.

A knock out of a debut book!!!
