An EXCELLENT book!,
By L. Sands (London, Ontario, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Manon: With Lair of the Wolf! (Leisure Historical Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I would recommend Manon to anyone! This is a well researched, highly detailed, amazingly written novel. The hero and heroine are charming and brave and the plot enthralling. The reader will feel as if they are actually seeing the same sights and smelling the same smells as these characters. I loved it! It is well worth reading!!

The editorial review might be cliched, but Ms. Jackson's book certainly isn't.Manon might just get me back to reading romance. Ms. Jackson's writing skills are top-notch, flawless. She manages to place the reader in the era without making you feel you're in a history class. Wonderful dialogue with realistic characters who act rationally. I really liked this book, and wouldn't hesitate to read anything Ms. Jackson writes.

Melanie Jackson delivers with a magickal touch!!!,
This review is from: Manon: With Lair of the Wolf! (Leisure Historical Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Melaine first broke into the romance field with this super historical. I love how she makes the characters come alive. She is a lyrical writer, with a fine eye to accurate history. Her characters are well definited and involve the reader from the start. If you have not found Melanie before and you enjoy romance, then take the opportunity to get to read one of the rising stars in the romance genre today.Manon is innocent of treason, but was forced to leave Scotland to stay alive and out of the hands of the English king. Disguised as a man, she maker her journey. She was used to living alone, but, she is tempted by and English Baronet. A knock out of a debut book!!!

This review is from: Manon: With Lair of the Wolf! (Leisure Historical Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Boring boring boring book, if you cant grab my attention within the first ten pages AND be original you have lost my interest. AND if you cannot describe a sensual scene between the two main characters in a way that should emote the "specialness" of the situation, you have lost my interest. PLUS the character development was lacking.
