An older movie, but good one none the less,
This review is from: No Man's Land [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you have watched more recent movies as, "Gone in 60 Seconds", or "The Corruptor", then you will most likely enjoy this one. It features D.B. Sweeney, who has done "The Cutting Edge" and a few lighthearted movies. In this flic he plays an undercover cop who investigates a band of auto theives and gets sucked into the "dark side". The acting could be better at times, but overall a good plot and plenty of excitement. Plot is very similar to "Gone in 60 seconds" and the cop gone bad theme is reminescent of "The Corruptor". I have had this tape in my repetoir for years and people are always pleasantly surprised when they see it. I am patiently awaiting the arrival of the DVD.

This movie is a must for Porsche fans!,

This story is exciting for Porsche fans as they see legendary 911s fly through the streets of L.A. with the roar of their flat-6 engines. The chase scenes are enjoyable and very exciting. But the story is much deeper than that. It has a very compelling drama on the subject of friendship and loyalty (between Sheen and Sweeney) and is the strongest part of the film. This is one of Charlie Sheen's best performances as a young actor. Sheen is intense in this piece. This is a buddy flic with Porsches. What else can you ask for! Bring on the DVD!!

Decent Entertainment,

This review is from: No Man's Land [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie has two very good-looking stars (Sheen and Sweeney) and beautiful fast cars, and a decent plot. That's enough for an entertaining movie. Charlie Sheen is one of those actors who can play the bad guy with such charm that you want to root for him. This one is worth a look.

This is one of the great action film in 80's.Unfortunately, it only comes with full screen version and stereo surround. It does not have any extra such as interview, deleted scines, nor making of. I just have to say "What were you thinking MGM?

THEE PORSCHE MOVIE OF ALL TIME,

This review is from: No Man's Land (DVD)
This is the greatest late-80's car-chase movie ever. With Sheen in his heyday, and other classic elements that made this movie THEE PORSCHE MOVIE OF ALL TIME. The chases were not clumsy Miami Vice style don't-hurt-the-Ferrari fare, but INTENSE, throttle&corner, jumping, flying and ramming with the sweetest Porsches of the 80's. Add the backdrop of "Less than Zero" production similarities and late-night 80's escapades, woo-hoo! This is the genre for gen X probably, but you may enjoy it otherwise. It's a timeless piece and thoroughly watchable for action fans. Many years ago I ordered the VHS of "No Man's Land" only to receive some skiing documentary. Horrified, I learned it was gone, "out-of-print". I don't know when it was produced last, and it may not be again so if your a collector it's something to consider.

when i was a kid i always liked porsche 911's. so when i saw this movie i thought, "what a movie?" it has everything i want...porsche 911's. without giving the movie away, it's about a cop that goes undercover to break up a car theft ring and all they steal are porsche 911's. there's even a line in the movie that says something about ferarri's. i won't quote it here, you can hear it for yourself in the movie. i think they should remake this movie but with me as the lead. actually, now that i think about it, charlie sheen can replay his character and i'll play the goofy cop. charlie, hope you're reading this, make it happen, i hear you have a lot of free time these days.

For those who are a fan of Charlie Sheen and old porsches then this is for you. It has a feel of the Fast and the Furious, but it's very interesting. Cool cars and actors wo were very young.

No Mans Land is, without a doubt, the epitome of all Porsche movies. Set during the tail end of the yuppy era, it successfully created the standard for how to praise an automobile. The creator of the finest vehicle ever to grace the asphalt, Ferdinand Porsche, would surely have died happy in 1998, after witnessing the best possible tribute to the best possible car. Heil Porsche !!!

Not to be confused with other Dubious and Pretty Entertaining Movies of another Genre,No Man's Land is not a Carpet Munching Free for all but a Movie Starring A Pre-Burnt Charlie Sheen(Hot Shots,Hot Shots Part Deux, nevermind two and in half; son of lefty loon sheen as we all know.)and Some D.B. Sweeney Dude(whatever happen to Him?)along with Pre-Kook Conspiracy/Canada Living Randy Quaid,The movie is worth watching for Porschephiles(Im a Vette Guy Myself,I don't mess with souped up fascist Vdubs.)I like the 930 Slantnose, there is a Cool Camaro and good car chase along with Pepsi plug-in/SemiTruck smash, overall a good 80s movie.
