The essense of this insightful book is based on the premise that if you don't quickly size up the type of woman you're dealing with, then you are doomed to deal with a LOT of frustration, anquish and wasted time, money and effort.

His "in your face approach" is a refreshing change from the normal relationship psychobabble crap that is currently making the rounds.

This really lays out today's female human in simple and easy to understand terms. Looking back, I can relate to what Marc is saying. His basic tenant is that you figure her out early and if she displays certian behaviors up front, cut your losses NOW. I know she's cute and sexy and it's hard to resist her feminine charm. You may have already slept with her and she was a fantastic lover, but get over it before it's too late. Marc's point is to help you decipher certian traits that are a likely sign of things to come down the road, leading to divorce and you losing half your net-worth. Even worse, having to pay child support for the next 18 years.

The only thing about his self-preservation strategy is that it seems to limit the available field of potential candidates even more than it already is. I mean once you follow his "no-nonsense" advice there are very few decent women left. He would say, "don't settle and don't accept the abuse". But most of the women out there seem to have the negative traits he says to run from. I've met them with all the hang-ups and mindsets and few of the virtues. My mistake in the past was hanging-on too long, thinking it will work out. I saw all the signs and wanted to ignore them. Eventually, BAM! - right upside my head.

What is "no-nonsense" about this book is to not waste time hoping she'll end up being OK or changing. "Hope is not a strategy".

Go to Marc's website and check out what this brave man is doing in the media to defy the agenda of the Feminist 2.0 double standard. He's an articulate and "no-nonsense" debator who loves and respects women, while unmasking their version of equality.

Marc's book is indeed simple, straight-forward and no-nonsense. He reveals and explains the simple truths and consequences of our relationship drives and choices. Obviously having learned from his own experience, Mark is emerging as a leader in respectful dialogue with, and about, women. This is the kind of book that signals the stirrings of long overdue change; a wake up call that rips right through the core of our society's long held, contradictory, mutually exclusive and dysfunctional beliefs about what a man "should" be (often as dictated by "entitled" women - as he explains), and offers us the awareness that we have the option to not play along. Against the backdrop of that option, we can be much choosier about whom we decide to be with, what we will and will not tolerate from women (and ourselves), and how to protect ourselves from emotional pain, financial ruin and legal nightmares. Ultimately it is a book about respecting women, by being man enough to have the balls to respect ourselves.

This book would be great required reading for men, and women as well.

Men, this is a great book for you because the woman you want, (as described on page 32), likes and respects men.

Marc Rudov's writing is honest and direct. Men deserve and women say they want a level playing field. Marc puts it in plain English what that really means. None of us should settle for less.

Take pages 133 & 134 to heart. Personally, I have never seen two pages of more sound advice on the topic of what men should seek. Women, just change the gender and it works the same for us.

This is a straightforward, concise book about how men can avoid wasted time, wasted money, and needless stress in their search for the perfect mate. Rudov reinforces the moral foundation that men need in order to reject chivalry, double standards, and needless burdens simply because they are male. He helps identify signals and signs in a woman's speech and behavior that ought to send any self-respecting man in the other direction. He also gives very valuable advice on how to engage in effective seduction of a woman, without having to buy her attention or fool her in any way.

The most striking thing about this book is the way everything seems non-controversial and completely sensible, and yet flies in the face of everything westernized society teaches men about masculinity and manliness. Western culture teaches men to bear the burdens, to sacrifice their health, money, and even their dreams to be the protectors and providers of this world. What an incredible burden that is -- and what an incredible relief Rudov's perspective is in response to the ridiculous gender roles so often assigned to men.

Rudov's book is a must-read for men of any age, but especially so for men in their early 20s (too young to have yet made any intractible errors in their lives). I wish I had read it at that age. What a gift this book would have been. As it stands, I consider this a perfect gift for any man just starting out on the path of life -- or any man who has taken the wrong path of romance and wants to turn around.

This book was well worth my time and investment. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all the following guys:

1. Those who are young and totally inexperienced with women.
2. Those who are experienced with women but are finding they are not at all happy with their results.
3. Those who never had a good heart to heart talk with their father as to how to choose and handle women.
4. Those who had a good heart to heart talk with their father as to how to choose and handle women, but feel that the advice they got is not really working because some of it may just be a bit (or very) out of date.
5. Those guys who are totally fed up with women wanting equal rights when all the benefits are being handed out but still expecting us men to always pay their way as though we are still in pre-1950 America.

I don't agree with everything Marc Rudov says, for instance that men and women are basically the same except for their plumbing and socialization. He does, however, give a lot of good advice concerning avoiding women who will end up destroying your life, not to mention being a royal, permanent headache if you unfortunately marry one in spite of her annoying, abusive, destructive, and/or self-destructive behavior. He includes what to look for in a woman in addition to what to avoid, and why.

My only problem with this book? Mostly generalized instead of real, nuts and bolts, how-to advice. This won't be the last book you'll need on the subject, but it's certainly a really good start.

Rudov's no-nonsense how guide to choosing a lover is the only way nowadays for men. The heartbreak of failed relationships notwithstanding, the financial consequences of divorce can be ruinous for men. In today's feminist dominated culture men need to distinguish between a woman's genuine offer of love and mere cold hearted, seductive manipulations for an ulterior motive. For example, getting a child with an eye to quickly ditch the father and bleed him financially dry with child support.

As a psychiatrist, I attribute women behaviorial problems with love to early childhood developmental neurophysiological defects. We all know unaffectionately handled puppies, kittens and infant primates have problems successfully mating, and caring for their young. Such would be all the more true for humans. Suspect today's largely day care raised from infancy children of today's working women fail to fully develop of the neurophysiological structures responsible for deep emotional attachment, and loving empathy. It's one thing for day care raised children to meet age appropriate cognitive, developmental milestones, e.g. reading, but quite another to eventually possess the rich emotional skills required for a stable marriage with children. Women may be more adversely affected rendering them much able to experience and effectively share real love with a partner.

For today's men Rudov's book is a MUST read.

I know Marc Rudov intended his book as a guide for men, but I was extremely surprised at the powerful insight he offers to women. The Man's No-Nonsense Guide to Women, the antithesis of that "Rules" book, is a must-read for every woman. Rudov uses intriguing, thought-provoking metaphors to upset the apple-cart of antiquated socialization that keeps men and women at odds. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed Marc Rudov's "take" on the dating/singles scene.
His book enlightened and empowered me! His humourous writing style and very valuable advice gave me a completely different perspective about what men want and need. Before reading the No
Nonsense Guide, I was making the same mistakes over and over in several relationships. When I saw myself in the pages of Marc's book, I could defintely take a step back and recognize that I really needed to change my "strategy". Marc's work has helped me navigate through dating more effectively and develop a stronger sense of who I am and what I want in a man, as well.

I could have used this book for the last 30 years. Would have saved me from a lot of heartach and problems. Marc is an old high school buddy and I orginally bought the book to show him support. But during and after reading, I realized it would have been a bargain at twice the price. Should be required for men and women everywhere. I would even go as far as saying it should be required reading for high school and college students.
