Our Sugarhouse was built in the 1880's and even though we were the first Sugarmaker in the state of Vermont to have 100% Lead Free Pans, we still set them on the original 1930's Leader Evaporator Arch! In our opinion, Maple Syrup is the world's best all natural sweetener. There are no artificial flavors or preservatives. Maple Syrup comes in Four Table grades and is based on color. From lightest to darkest we produce Fancy, A-Medium, A-Dark, and B. All grades have wonderful flavor and are unique in their own right. Generally the the lighter the grade the more delicate the maple flavor; the darker the grade, the heartier the Maple Flavor! Maple Syrup Buyer's Guide: Fancy- Light Amber color, delicate maple bouquet. Delightfully mild maple flavor, excellent on ice cream or on foods which permit its subtle flavor to be appreciated. Medium Amber- Medium Amber color, pronounced maple bouquet. Characteristic maple flavor; popular for table and all around use. Dark Amber- Dark Amber color, robust maple bouquet. Heartier maple flavor; also very popular for table and all around use.
