Book Description

March 1996 0702017647 978-0702017643 20th
The bible of clinical tropical medicine, Manson's now provides extended and more in depth coverage of the speciality through the expertise of a wider group of specialist authors. The book retains its strong practical clinical bias with clear sensible advice on the diagnosis and management of each disorder. As well as giving excellent up-to-date information on tropical infectious diseases this edition gives much more emphasis to non-infectious tropical diseases and is arguably the most comprehensive source of tropical medicine available in the World. Features: * Encyclopedia coverage of tropical diseases "the bible". * Total rewrite includes new matter on diagnosis and vaccines. * More detail on non-infectious tropical disorders. * Practical systemic approach - the clinician's guide to solving clinical problems. * New photos throughout and colour pictures to illustrate Ophthalmic and Skin Disorders and General Signs. * Practical expertise of the contributors most of whom either work or have worked in tropical climates.

This review is from: Manson's Tropical Diseases (Hardcover)
The book in question contains all of the information necessary in the pursuit of tropical medicine. However a seperate atlas would be handy.
