I was going to give this bike fewer stars after struggling for hours to put it together (awful instructions, missing screws, etc.), but now that we've had it for several weeks, wow, this trike is great! We bought it for our 16-yr old daughter who has Down syndrome. She never cared for the 2-wheel bike with training wheels she's had for years. I'm guessing it was just too much to worry about keeping the bike upright while coordinating pedaling and braking and everything else.

This bike is PERFECT for her! She all of a sudden loves biking and asks to ride it every day. Any time the family goes out--to a restaurant, shopping, walking the dog, etc.--she asks if she can ride her bike. It's great! Next purchase will be a bike rack for the car so the family can go on biking adventures together. When folded, the trike does fit in my little car (Nissan Leaf) with the back seats folded down. Also, to make it fit, the handlebars need to come off, which is fine because they have a quick-release mechanism. (The seat is also quick-release, which is handy, since all of our daughter's friends are wanting to try out the trike and it's easy to raise the seat.)

I'm glad we got the 16-inch and not the 20-inch. It's plenty big. My daughter is 4'8 and 100 pounds and she uses the seat at its lowest level. And kids/adults much taller fit on it fine with the seat raised.

I bought this for my wife since she has never ridden a bike before. It has taken her a little while to get use to the bike, but she likes it. If you do not like or you are not good at putting things together, then I suggest you take it to a bike shop for assembly. The instructions are not very good and the pictures are not very clear. From unboxing to fine tuning, it will require about an hour of your time. I had an issue where the hole for the fender support was not tapped out properly and I had to buy a tapping kit to fix it (I stripped out the bolt, until I figured out the problem). Also there were a few dings in the paint and the fender had a dent. This thing was well packaged and everything was wrapped up, so it must have happened before going in the box. My wife is 5' 4", but it also fits me and I am 6' 2".

This is not the best bike and could use some improvements. But for the price, portability and finally getting my wife out for a bike ride is worth it.

Pro's
* Easy to transport in the back of my Short Bed 2005 Tacoma with two other bikes along with luggage.
* Front Shock
* Rear Basket
* Excellent Price

Con's
* Only has front brakes, but seem to work fine.
* Seat has too much movement from side to side (part of the design). Needs to be a little bit more firm.
* Only one speed, but I knew that when I bought it.

Its perfect for my disabled step daughter. Because it has smaller wheels than other brands it is more stable and easier for her to handle. The bike is quite a bit lighter weight than others on the market also which is good for our needs even though it does seem to be less sturdy.

It does not fold down very smal but it is handy for transporting it in the back of our suv that it folds a little bit.

The instructions for putting it together are terrible!

Some parts were missing, issues with stripped nuts and bolts - namely the left pedal and handle bar (my husband replaced the nut and bolt) and the instructions were a total nightmare. We literally had to look a the photo on Amazon to figure out how certain things were connected.
I'm not a fan of the pivotal seat, but I can live with that. Basically, you get what you pay for. What this bike needs is more quality control, much better instructions, and the nuts and bolts literally need to be of better quality. Would I recommend it? No. Spend a little more and get a quality product.

We bought this bike for my 17 y/o stepson who has mild cerebral palsy with right sided weakness. He loves it! It give him a sense of freedom and speed at a pace he enjoys and we feel comfortable with. The braking mechanism is pretty easy for him. The only problem we're aware of so far, after two times riding, is that, if he's going down a slight slope and there isn't tension on the chain, it wants to miss a spoke when he starts to pedal again. If he back pedals a little, that resets the chain. All-in-all, we are very happy with this purchase and the smile on his face. Oh! Lest I forget. The shipping speed was amazing! We were told it wouldn't get here until today, but it actually came about a week ago. Very good surprise, since his birthday was yesterday!

Very poor quality. Would have sent it back, but husband threw the box away and can't find a box big enough to put it in. I am very disappointed in bike. The handles won't stay in place, no matter how you tighten everything, won't stay, will not fold up like it is supposed to and when it came had scratches on the fender.

What an awful experience! The bike was delivered by FedEx and the box was smashed up and ripped with several holes in it. The only thing holding the box together we're the straps. I checked each piece to make sure they were not damaged, and it looked like they weren't. Then I tried to put the bike together. After two hours trying to figure out the instructions in the lousy instruction booklet with the black and white pictures that needed a magnifying glass to see, and n I finally gave up and called a friend to help. He fixes bikes, and he had trouble with this one. It's suppose to be a foldable but the pin that allows the bike to close was put in upside down and he had to remove it to get it to align with the hinge. Needless to say if he had that much trouble with the hinge, I guess I'm not going to use it as a foldable. Then after the whole thing was put together, I'm going to still have to take it to a bike shop, because the front wheel frame is bent and will need to be aligned. I should have called fedex and sent it back when I saw how the box looked instead of trying to struggle with this. I would have been better off buying one from a bike shop!
