This is not true balsamic, it contains caramel, wine vinegar (not just must) and antioxidants. I don't know how I'll use this all up, maybe reduce it for marinade or something. Doesn't taste good.

Due to the low price and good reviews, we thought we'd give this 'balsamic' vinegar a try. Don't waste your money. Our standards are pretty low as far as vinegar goes, I mean how much can 'balsamic' vary, right? We were wrong. It is red wine vinegar at best. Very thin, and does not have that savory sweetness like most balsamic vinegars have. Look elsewhere unless you are looking for red wine vinegar.

Just like wine the quality of aged vinegar depends on many factors. I must say that even though this was in the lower price range I was expecting a better flavor. You get what you pay for and in this case nothing more and there is nothing unfair about that. So I give it a "fair" rating. Next time I will spend a little more.

We have recently become fans of Balsamic Vinegar in our home. Fresh Tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil and some yummy balsamic vinegar and olive oil- yum. This is one that we have used repeatedly. It has been a consistent quality and it does not taste like pickling juice. We are going to branch out and try others now that we have learned some recipes that use balsamic vinegar. It will be interesting to see how this holds up after tasting others. Right now though, this is one we turn to for balsamic Vinegar.

Enjoy.

This is as described. I'm frugal with my expenditures, and was happy to find this in bulk on Amazon. It came very-well packaged in bubble wrap: each one, individually. The bottles are glass, so I was glad to see the great packaging.

I use this nightly on my salads with olive oil. Very satisfied with the taste and quality. :-)

This is my preferred vinegar of choice for salads (with olive oil). They come packaged very well in bubble wrap, and it's a large quantity for a great price.

This is NOT a good Balsamic Vinegar at all. It is just a cheap table wine vinegar with additives and artificial flavors. If you have never had real Balsamic Vinegar and are looking for some, please don't think this is it.
Traditional Balsamic Vinegar is dark, thick and syrupy. It is normally used by the drop. If you have ever had it, you would know the difference, and never forget what it is like. It is incredible.
The stuff mostly sold here in the States, that is labeled Vinegar of Modena, is just nothing more than mass produced vinegar, which is fine for some salads I guess, as long as you aren't paying a high price for it because you think it's "Gourmet". It isn't.
The real Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena/Reggio Emilia is sold in a special labeled bottle and is very very expensive. You can buy some of it here on Amazon, if you look for it by those names. It is all imported directly from Italy.
Here is some info that might help to understand what you are buying.
There are three types of balsamic vinegar:
1.Authentic traditional artisan balsamic vinegar, the only kind that may legally be described as "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale" in the EU.
2.Commercial grade "balsamic" vinegars produced on an industrial scale.
3.Condimento grade products, which are often a mix of the two above.
1.Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale:
Only two consortia produce true traditional balsamic vinegar, Modena and neighboring Reggio Emilia. TRUE balsamic vinegar is made from a reduction of pressed Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes. The resulting thick syrup, called mosto cotto in Italian, is subsequently aged for a minimum of 12 years in a battery of seven barrels of successively smaller sizes.
