Product Description

Mantova grape seed oil is a new product that is added to our line of oils. High in antioxidants and possessing cholesterol-lowering properties, grapeseed oil is benefiting from the publics realization that transfats are bad. Grapeseed oil also has a 485 degree F. smoke point, almost twice that of olive oil. This ensures that no negative flavors will be introduced to foods when either searing or sautéing. A neutral, non-greasy mouth-feel also makes it versatile in the kitchen.

It's a good replacement for olive oil in sous vide cooking (where the olive oil, cooked at low temperatures for a long time, takes on a metallic, or even bloody, taste). Good quality oil with just a bit more flavor than the (cheaper) Costco grapeseed oil. I prefer olive oil for dressings and the like, but prefer to cook with grapeseed oil.

I love this product. The flavor is great in salad dressings and for frying chicken. The packaging for shipping could be better as they usually show up with some leakage. The first shipment had one of four bottles broken.
