Mantras are mighty ancient vibrational formulas which can connect us to various levels of universal energies. There are very exact traditional ways how to use and recite various mantras. Even if we don't use the classical brahmanic way of reciting mantras (which is certainly the most powerful), there is "bhava" - a devotional energy (also closely connected with an impressive serenity of a musical rendering).
Both aspects are unfortunately entirely missing in Henry Marshall's mantra recordings, which represent extremely low musical taste and skills and a complete ignorance of the basic mantras principles. Most of the songs sound rather like some evening folk chanting in a village pub ...
