About the Author
Howard Beckman was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA., where he attended Temple University studying Philosophy and Religion. He later spent many years in India, Tibet and Thailand where he developed the knowledge of precious gems and their powers to heal. On returning to the USA he further increased his knowledge by gaining a degree as a Graduate Gemologist. Howard (Hamsavatar), is the author of "An Introduction to Vedic Astrology" and "Mantras, Yantras and Fabulous Gems - healing secrets of the ancient Vedas" and "Vibrational Healing with Gems". He is president and founder of the Vedic Cultural Fellowship in New Mexico and founding member of the American Council of Vedic Astrology. He is also known for the best source of natural, jyotish gems in the West. He is director of Balaji Natural Gems and is in the process of producing a correspondence course on Gem Therapy.

This book is unique, Howard Beckman has managed to combine the study of sound vibration (mantra), sacred geometry (yantra), and gemstone therapy. These three strands of knowledge which form part of the ancient Vedic heritage of India that are the essence of vibrational healing. Much of this information has been inaccessible to us in the West, until now. Howard has used his expertise on the subject to make this knowledge more easily understood. The section of gemstone therapy is particularly comprehensive. The book is beautifully enhanced with color photographs and it definately inspires one to delve further into the rich esoteric teachings of the great sages and seers of ancient India. I for one am hooked!

Most of the information from this book is on the author's web site. So save your money and read what little information is contained in the book. The book has large print, large pictures and very little information. Was very disappointed in this book and the other one by this author. Most of what he says is more marketing hype than valid information. Will be selling the copy of my book
