Not worth the price they're selling it for,

This book has very good pictures and detailed instructions, but is basically something you could put together at any copy store. It has the plastic ringed connector, and looks like a paperback manual someone copied for me. It definitely isn't worth the new price of $39.95 and still not worth the used price of $20-25. It's more useful for an actual trailer than a manufactured home and leaves out a lot of the more realistic details for upgrade that someone might want to do to make this look less like a trailer inside.

Too light-weight. I recommend the Foremost book instead. It's more professionally done with comprehensive information.

Mobile Home repair,

This book was very general and lacked diagrams and specific instructions. I would recommend another book called Foremost Mobile Home Fix It Guide: Your Manufactured Home Repair Book. Amazon offers a deal on both books, but if you get the foremost book you really don't need the other.

Just What I Was Looking For,
This review is from: The Manual for Manufactured/Mobile Home Repair and Upgrade (Plastic Comb)
I am new to mobile home living since I had to retire early from health problems and did't want to aquire alot of debt at this time in my life. I was an experienced bluilding rehabber and maintenance man. I read the reviews here and saw the Formost guide was higher rated and cheaper... I recieved it in the afternoon and by evening had it listed on ebay and sold it .It was 3/4 full of things I already knew.. I was hoping for a more mobile home specific manuel. I checked back at Amazon and saw Mark's book was offering "seconds" and I snapped one up. Should have got this one first.. It is more mobile home specific. A few of the pictures looked like they came from a home just like mine.. It was written like I would have written it with excellent pictures and illustrations(like correct fastner torquing in the roofing section).Excellent heat tape section.. Anyway I just had to give my two cents.. May God Bless You..Jesus is Coming Soon..Kim

Lots of pictures of actual repairs being done. Can definitely tell its written by someone who's 'been there, done that.'

Good info but ....,

We found the information very useful, however, very disappointed in the "manuscript" construction(I wouldn't call it a book) considering the extremely high price. Don't expect this to hold up for any lenghth of time to use as a reference manual due to poor quality (such good information deserves better). No publisher, no ISBN, pricey

Not for the Less-than-knowledgeable,

This review is from: The Manual for Manufactured/Mobile Home Repair and Upgrade (Plastic Comb)
It is a decent book with much information, but it is not as detailed as I was expecting. The author does not explain many of the repairs or the "how-to's" but just assumes that you know how to do them. For example, to replace a toilet cut out the flange and put a new one in. But how? He doesn't explain. So, it can be a useful book if you already have a decent working knowledge of home maintenance and use of tools.

Where else are you going to find all this information?,

Definitely a lot of information for one book. Some chapters could be expanded a bit further, but where else are you going to find these kind of ideas! Mark has ways of fixing things that I've never thought of before, and saved me money!

This book is basically [not a wise choice]. Not many details or drawings. Just a few ideas. Value of about [zero].

Overpriced,

I'm pretty dissapointed. THis book was quite expensive. The cover of the "book" did not match the cover of the book in the picture above. The book I got is more of a glorified pamphlet. Yes, the information in it is helpful, but $10-$12 is a more reasonable price.
