The book is thorough in its presentation. The author took a good approach to presenting the material in such a way that the reader will learn by association. Clear images are presented to help facilitate the learning process for the reader. Taking a course in basic anatomy would be helpful prior to reading this book.

Excellent book for reviewing the actions of muscles,

This book is good if you want to know exactly what action each muscle performs in the human body. It is listed as a reference for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. It is quite good for the kinesiology portion of the NCETMB.
