1.0 out of 5 stars Why so expensive?, January 27, 2011
This review is from: The Manual Wheelchair Training Guide (Paperback)
I found out about this book through Wheelchairnet.org, which has sections of the book available to preview. When I searched for it here on Amazon, and found out it was $130, I was astonished. It has useful information, but it is certainly not NEARLY worth THAT amount of money. How do they justify that price? A med-school level textbook containing hundreds of pages of detailed information (not on wheelchair skills, of course -- I use the textbook as an example of information put out by highly-educated people) can be had for half that amount. I'm appalled the authors and/or publisher have set the price so high. The persons needing this book have tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills to pay off. Why are the authors and publisher being outrageously pompous and greedy?
