This, the third in a Naxos series comprising all of Blancafort's piano music, is rather pallid music with a mild Spanish flavor, reminiscent of the music of Mompou but not as charming or emotionally satisfying. There are some additional French impressionist flavorings that are not so obvious in Mompou's similar miniatures. The CD includes 'Camins' ('Roads'), 'Cants intims II' ('Intimate Songs'), 'El parc d'atraccions' ('Fun Fair'), and 'Pastoral en sol' ('Pastoral in G').

The playing, by Catalan pianist Miguel Villalba, is sensitive and well-controlled.
