I have been using this honey for a couple of years now and always have some handy. I don't use it everyday as it is too pricey for me to consume every day, but keep it on hand for "emergencies". I eat it for stomach issues &/or sore throats. I apply it topically for any cuts, bruises, bug bites, dried out old face from too much time in the garden. I also use it on the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Stomach seems better after using this
After being prescribed Prilosec for gastritis, I began looking for natural remedies (acid reducers are not good for long term use). I kept reading about Mauka honey and DGL licorice, so I headed on down to Whole Foods to check it out. I decided that the honey was the better way to go, since it is an everyday product. I began taking a teaspoonful on a piece of bread in...

I eat it for stomach issues &/or sore throats. I apply it topically for any cuts, bruises, bug bites, dried out old face from too much time in the garden. I also use it on the boys (2 black labs) for the same issues... except for the complexion. The taste is different as the manuka plant is in the same family as the tea tree oil plant.. not very tasty.

my mother had an stomach ulcer (h. pylori) for almost 3 years that wouldnt heal and was on long doses of antibiotics and acid reducers with no luck. stomach ulcers lead to stomach cancer so it was critical that it be healed. l googled info on this honey and we decided to try it. lt works! her ulcer is gone, the h.pylori is gone, she isnt having the burning she used to, and is off the other treatments. lf u have an ulcer - this may be the one thing that will cure it. its a miracle from nature.

Very tasteful and thick, not runny like most honey. Can be used as a spread on toast. Since using it a few months have found I have fewer stomach pains than before.

5.0 out of 5 stars WORKS WONDERS!, July 14, 2011

I bought this honey to see if I could help my mother's terrible bedsores. Nothing the hospital did worked; in fact, they made them worse. Hospice had no solutions either. I put a thick dressing of this honey on them, covered them with gauze and tape, and I was amazed at the healing powers! Every sore healed completely and quite quickly! I was so impressed, when it came time, I used it on my daddy's feet when sores broke out from organ failure. Again, this honey healed them up. The nurses who treated both my mother and my father were absolutely blown away by the power of this particular honey. So am I. I eat a spoonful every day because I've decided it must be good for healthy bodies as well! I cannot say whether it's organic, but I can tell you from two experiences that it is a fabulous sore healer!

This honey has great medicinal benefits for people with gastritis, IBS, ulcers and the like.
It heals up any bleeding in the stomach, intestines, etc. Just take it on a spoon and a few times daily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Healed my wound, November 27, 2011
This review is from: Raw Manuka Honey (Active 15+) (Manufacturer Out of Stock) - 12 oz - Paste (Misc.)
I got this same Manuka Honey from a local health foods store (for a little bit more money than Amazon) to try and treat a skin infection that almost tripled in size when 2 courses of traditional oral antibiotics and a topical antibiotic ointment failed to heal my skin infection. I applied the honey to a non-stick telfa dressing that I bandaged to the affected area twice daily and noticed a HUGE difference after 4 days of using the honey. Well, after 2 weeks my skin infection healed completely to my Doctor's astonishment. I will definitely keep this on hand in my medicine cabinet and recommend it to anyone suffering from skin/staph infections.

3.0 out of 5 stars Stomach seems better after using this, July 26, 2011
This review is from: Raw Manuka Honey (Active 15+) (Manufacturer Out of Stock) - 12 oz - Paste (Misc.)
I began taking a teaspoonful on a piece of bread in the mornings, and have noticed that the nausea that was so prevalent with my gastritis has diminished. I have been able to eat "normal" meals (versus bland) with no bloating or nausea. I have only been taking it for 5 days now, which is why I gave only 3 stars. I will come back and update in a couple of weeks if I see more improvement with use.

On a more personal note, I cannot stand the taste of honey, and this is no exception! I have to hold my nose to eat it...I am going to assume that it has something to do with the manuka tree. I say this because I read another user's review that claimed this wasn't organic...I have tried other "raw" honey brands (my husband prefers it over sugar) and they were never as pungent or sweet as this one is. Not sure if that makes it organic or not, but this is unlike any other stuff I have tasted before.

4.0 out of 5 stars I had better Manuka honey ..., January 4, 2012
This review is from: Raw Manuka Honey (Active 15+) (Manufacturer Out of Stock) - 12 oz - Paste (Misc.)
But that was in HK where Manuka Honey is very popular. Here in the US, Manuka Honey is not easy to find. My local Vitamin Shoppe stocks this and is always priced at around $17~18 in the tax-free NH state. This flavor / aroma is noticeably stronger than domestic (and local) honey that I had tasted. Once you try Manuka Honey, it may be tough to go back domestic...
