Book Description

Christina has a problem. Her ballet class is coming up, and she must decide which one of her many tutus to wear. She lays them all carefully on her bed to help her decide. The decision is difficult, because the colors are each so vibrant and lovely. She imagines herself inspired to dance in a unique and special way in each tutu, with each color evoking its own particular imagery. In her blue tutu she could dance by the sea, with the birds and fishes joining in. In her green tutu she could do a forest dance among the trees, and in the meadows. Her orange tutu creates images of a joyous dance in the firelight at sunset. There are other colors too, each suggesting its own special mood. At last she receives some wise counsel in solving her dilemma, and helping her to make the correct choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book, July 8, 2009
By
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
It is almost time for little Christina's ballet class, but she doesn't know which of her many tutus to wear. She ask her mommy for help selecting one, but Christina is told to ask her daddy. Her daddy says she has too many, so it's too difficult for him to choose, too.

Christina finally gets a big idea from her brother Max. Which color will Christina choose--green, blue, pink, yellow, violet, or orange?

I highly recommend this colorful children's book to parents, teachers, and grandparents-- or anyone who wishes to share it with a special little girl who loves ballet. The story is sweet and the illustrations are beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars This was a charming tale your little ballerina will love and will reach for time and time again!, July 8, 2009
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
Christina was getting ready to go to ballet class, but she was having a little problem. It wasn't serious mind you, but it put her in a quandary. She couldn't decide which tutu to wear to class because she had "too too many tutus!" Her Mommy told her to go to her Daddy for advice, but he gently told her that she would have to decide for herself. Her brother Max had the best idea. He told her to take them put them all on her bed. That way when she looked "at them all together" it would be much easier for her to pick one. Now that sounded like a plan!

Her tutus captured every color in the rainbow and her imagination was sparked thinking how beautifully she would look and how gracefully she could dance with each one. Her green one would be perfect for an "outdoors dance," she could "whirl and twirl under the bright blue sky" with the blue one, but if she put on her violet tutu she "could dance with the iris and the violets and the lilacs on an early spring day." There were so many colorful choices to make, but in the end she made the perfect decision. Which color do you think she chose?!

This was a charming tale your little ballerina will love and will reach for time and time again. The whimsical illustrations were very appealing their spirit meshed perfectly with the text. Each time Christina tried on a new tutu the book came alive as she danced and posed on the pages. If you have a little dance fan in your house, this one is sure to be a hit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and Cute Story for your Ballet Lover Child, July 7, 2009
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
This was a VERY cute book. I read it to my 20 month old twins and even to my 3 1/2 year old son. They all enjoyed it and the twins even sat through it the third time I attempted to read to them (both times before they just wanted to flip through the book!). I highly suggest this book if you have a daughter that loves ballet. She will thoroughly enjoy reading this book. Even for those that don't, it basically goes through each color of tutu this little girl has. Very good tool to teach colors and reinforce what the different colors look like while getting an entertaining story about a little girl who can't choose which tutu to wear because she has "too too many tutus". =)
