Wonderful Book,
By
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
It is almost time for little Christina's ballet class, but she doesn't know which of her many tutus to wear. She ask her mommy for help selecting one, but Christina is told to ask her daddy. Her daddy says she has too many, so it's too difficult for him to choose, too.
Christina finally gets a big idea from her brother Max. Which color will Christina choose--green, blue, pink, yellow, violet, or orange? I highly recommend this colorful children's book to parents, teachers, and grandparents-- or anyone who wishes to share it with a special little girl who loves ballet. The story is sweet and the illustrations are beautiful.

This was a charming tale your little ballerina will love and will reach for time and time again!,
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
Christina was getting ready to go to ballet class, but she was having a little problem. It wasn't serious mind you, but it put her in a quandary. She couldn't decide which tutu to wear to class because she had "too too many tutus!" Her Mommy told her to go to her Daddy for advice, but he gently told her that she would have to decide for herself. Her brother Max had the best idea. He told her to take them put them all on her bed. That way when she looked "at them all together" it would be much easier for her to pick one. Now that sounded like a plan!
Her tutus captured every color in the rainbow and her imagination was sparked thinking how beautifully she would look and how gracefully she could dance with each one. Her green one would be perfect for an "outdoors dance," she could "whirl and twirl under the bright blue sky" with the blue one, but if she put on her violet tutu she "could dance with the iris and the violets and the lilacs on an early spring day." There were so many colorful choices to make, but in the end she made the perfect decision. Which color do you think she chose?! This was a charming tale your little ballerina will love and will reach for time and time again. The whimsical illustrations were very appealing their spirit meshed perfectly with the text. Each time Christina tried on a new tutu the book came alive as she danced and posed on the pages. If you have a little dance fan in your house, this one is sure to be a hit!

Entertaining and Cute Story for your Ballet Lover Child,
By
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
This was a VERY cute book. I read it to my 20 month old twins and even to my 3 1/2 year old son. They all enjoyed it and the twins even sat through it the third time I attempted to read to them (both times before they just wanted to flip through the book!). I highly suggest this book if you have a daughter that loves ballet. She will thoroughly enjoy reading this book. Even for those that don't, it basically goes through each color of tutu this little girl has. Very good tool to teach colors and reinforce what the different colors look like while getting an entertaining story about a little girl who can't choose which tutu to wear because she has "too too many tutus". =)

Adorable Book for girls!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
This is an adorable story for your girl aged 2-years old and all the way up to 2nd grade, depending on your child's reading level. Obviously, the older ones will enjoy reading it on their own. It's about a little girl who can't make up her mind about which tutu to wear. You and your child will relate to the story very well. The brightly illustrated watercolor paintings are just beautiful. My daughter loved the story. She was also captivated by the paintings and took much time looking at the pictures. It's a great read aloud book.

Colorful Read For Future Ballerina,
This review is from: Too Too Many Tutus (Paperback)
A rainbow color tutus are crowding a little girl's closet, but that is just how she likes it. The only problem is, she can't decide which color to wear for today's dance rehearsal.
Any aspiring ballerina would love this book. While it teaches kids colors, they also learn how to make choices. It's a very cute picture book for the young-uns.

Have you ever gone to your closet, looked over your clothes, and wondered what to wear? Christina is getting ready for her ballet class, but there are so many beautiful ballet costumes in her closet that she just can't decide which one to choose. Neither Mommy nor Daddy can help her select one, but her brother Max suggests that they lay them all on her bed and look at them together. There is a green one that reminds her of grass and leaves, a blue one that looks like the sky and the sea, a pink one the color of roses, a yellow one that matches the sunshine, a violet one that is as fresh as springtime, and an orange one that makes her think of blazing fire and bright sunsets. Each one fits a different mood, but she just doesn't know which one will be best right now. However, there is also one more. Which one will she pick? Author Suzanne Davis Marion has produced a charming book that also has some underlying lessons in it about seeking wise counsel and finding a satisfying solution to problems. Also, there are some added benefits for very young children: They can count the tutus for number reinforcement, and they can practice recognizing colors. All the time I was growing up, my father kept telling me that black is the absence of color and white is the combination of all colors. I never believed him then because whenever I colored with all my crayons it always came out pretty close to black and when I used none of them it was white. However, what he said is true, as pointed out in this book. It's a basic physics lesson! And the soft, colorful illustrations of Marj Hale are a delight to the eyes. While the book would most likely appeal to little girls, the author says that she was asked to read it for a children's story at church, and even the little boys paid attention.

Too Many Tutus is a charming childrens book about a girl named Christina who is getting ready for ballet class but can't decided which of her tutus to wear. So she lays them all out on her bed and tries to pick one. Each tutu inspires her to dance and she imagines herself dancing in the sunshine with butterflies or among roses blowing in the breeze.
This is a sweet childrens book and the illustrations are beautiful. Highly recommended!

is an adorable book about a little ballerina named Christina. She is to go to dance class but can not decide which tutu she should wear. According to her, the decision is just to great since she has too too many tutus. As any wise young person will do, she first asks her mother for help. Her mom tells her the decision is all hers. Next she asks her dad and he doesn't quite know what to tell her either, especially since he is playing with her little brother. Max gives her some wonderful advice and that leads to Christina's adventure. He suggests that she lay out all the tutus and see which one looks best. She imagines herself in each one and what she could do in them. In the end, she makes a wise choice with her mother's guidance. I thought the choice was quite creative!
My Review I personally enjoyed the illustrations in this book. Marj Hales did a wonderful job of making this book come to life in pictures. I have always enjoyed watercolors and that's how this book was chosen to be illustrated. My 3 year old daughter really enjoyed me reading this book to her. Her 5 year old big brother even listened in. DD loved the descriptions of each tutu and what Christina had chosen to do with them. The only comment DS had to add was "Mommy, Christina might have had too too many tutus, but you have too too many books!" Out of the mouths of babes!! |
