Book Description

7 and up2 and upOn My Own History
More than anything, Rem Goldin wants to fight the British in the American Revolution. His father and the other men of Sites Point, New Jersey, have all left town to join the fighting. But ten-year-old Rem is too young to go with the men. Disappointed, he climbs up Foxborough Hill to look out over the ocean. What is that murky shape he sees through the fog? Could it be a British warship? Can Rem find a way to save his town?

5.0 out of 5 stars On My Own History Books, June 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is really about all the ON MY OWN HISTORY BOOKS. My son is dyslexic. This basically means that his IQ is very high (120) but he finds it very difficult to read. Reading " Dick and Jane can run " at eleven years old with an IQ of 120 can be very very boring. These History books are written at a grade 3 level, they are all very interesting, and the printing is not too small or too close together. All qualities that make them fun to read. Oh, I also homeschool my children, so these books come in very handy for replacement of readers that come with school books.
