Only blizzard knows the answer to that. I can say that myself and 2 of my friends still play it!

(and, queue Suds, Neuro, and/or Gary linking some xfire article, or just saying the game is rubish)

Sudeley says:
Nope, I will not use article pages. I am only posting now because you brought my name into it. But I do not play D3 anymore, maybe when my friend comes over and wants to play. Of course the OPtimum way to play for me and my friends would be LAN. But their not smart enough to fix that problem.

again i would not have posted if you did not bring my name into it in your post.

You are correct, it was not you that used articles i apologize. Kinda gets all blended together over the months.

Red Guy says:
I know 4 people who got D3 on release day. One of them passed an exam and another took a few days off from work to play the game. None of them is playing it now.

it has also been what... 3 months now since launch?? I don't know many games that aren't MMOs that keep people interest for 3+ months. However I also think the 1.0.4 patch will bring more people back to try out new things.

Diablo 2 kept me interrested for years. Of course it did not have all the d3 issues either.

Gary says:
Excellent point, Suds. But despite our resident ostrich, K, their numbers are definitely down. I know articles make K sad, so I will post some links:
(guy says where he used to see as many as 18,000 when he logged now, now there are 2,000).

Sudeley says:
I would check on the online number but the not so smart corperation is in matenance mode? the not so smart people need to make a offline mode/lan so people can play at any time. Or atleast not require 8 hours to do minimal work, 8 hours to me should include huge patches to fix all their issues.

Gary says:
Oh, would this be the game that is only down when people really didn't want to play anyway? LOL

NeuroSplicer says:
For the record, there are games I, for one, have been playing for years - and not a puny ...3 months.

Civilization II.
Baldur's Gate.
Diablo II.
Age of Empires II.
Dungeon Siege.
Total War: Shogun.
Unreal Tournament 2004.
Emperor: Battle for Dune.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
The Witcher.
Half-Life II.
(I'll stop here, the list is long)

When most gamers abandon a (supposedly) Triple-A game after 10-12 weeks, the game was a huge disappointment.

Sudeley says:
Yep I agree, I still play off and on Diablo 2, Torchlight and Borderlands. I guess the old school developers know how to make better games.

Speaking of Borderlands, I still cannot wait for Borderlands 2

Shanghaied says:
For the record, that ecological fallacy of a post is ridiculous in the sense that:

A. You admit you never bought the game
B. The game has been out for a few months

Dividing by zero doesn't work. Neither does whatever point you were trying to make here.

Back to the barrel for another red herring, eh?

I'm actually going to start a new game of Borderlands tonight! Gotta get prepared for 2

The amount of games online being less doesn't mean there are also less people playing... do people even read the updates/patchnotes Blizzard releases?

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 15, 2012 7:29:47 AM PDT
Sudeley says:
I read them to see how much of their huge mistakes they attempt to fix.

Rockhardly says:
Just out of curiosity, Sud - do you still play the game?

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 15, 2012 8:29:56 AM PDT
Sudeley says:
When my friend comes over we play some, but I am waiting for 1.04 to hopefully improve the game a couple percent.

You mean we agree on something for once? Wow I am having a heart attack.
