5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Gloves
I'm a professional photographer and it's difficult for me to keep my hands warm while shooting outdoors. Thick gloves are warm but makes it impossible to operate the cameras. What I need are fingerless gloves but most don't keep my hands warm and believe me, I've gone through a lot of gloves. Several years ago a friend recommended I buy a version of these for a project...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not warm enough
The gloves function well, but are not as warm as I would like. Also, since there are individual finger slots one cannot make a fist inside the mitten to warm the fingers together.

What I need are fingerless gloves but most don't keep my hands warm and believe me, I've gone through a lot of gloves. Several years ago a friend recommended I buy a version of these for a project I was working on. I loved them and have used them when it's cold ever since. I purchased these for my son and liked them so well I purchased a pair for myself. These are thicker and water proof where my previous pair wasn't.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very warm and comfortable, but a bit tight, April 5, 2010

I purchased two pairs of these glove/mittens (one medium and one large) for my husband, who was looking for a pair with the waterproof feature. He has owned several pairs of convertible glove/mittens and says that these are his favorites, except for one thing. Apparently they're a bit tight (he's wearing the large, although his hands are not particularly big) - and, due to poor hand circulation, the tightness causes his hands to get cold if he wears them too long. I'm not sure whether that means the gloves run small or if they're all a bit narrower than what he's used to. In any case, they may not be ideal with someone with poor circulation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Manzella Men's Convertible Mittens, August 24, 2010
These gloves are top of the line. I wore these during a trip to Iowa and Nebraska during the winter months. Wind chills at the time were between NEGATIVE TWELVE (-12) and NEGATIVE TWENTY-THREE (-23) Fahrenheit and my hands stayed warm until I converted them to gloves (exposing my fingers) and then everything but my fingers stayed warm! With in a minute of converting them back to mittens, my fingers were toasty! When converting the gloves/mittens is simple with the built in magnets in the mitten and back of the glove. It is strong enough to hold the mitten out of the way, but not making it difficult to convert back.

The only draw back to these gloves/mittens is taking them off. The part of the glove that exposes your fingers are surrounded by elastic and the removal can be difficult. But this is a small inconvenience compared to the comfort and versatility of these gloves/mittens! A GREAT BUY!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best glittens I've owned, February 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've owned numerous pairs of knitted "glittens" (convertible mittens) over the years, usually having to replace them every year or so due to heavy usage and shoveling (northeasterner). These fleece waterproof gloves are the warmest and most durable I've encountered. I'm also an avid ice-bicyclist and these hold up in the windy cold of upstate New York during the winter. The other feature I find useful is the magnet, which helps hold back the mitten cover when not in use--genius! No more wearing out the Velcro on the cheap pairs. The sizing chart on Amazon was very accurate and I have already recommended these to friends.

Fantastic! Keeps your hands warm while you fiddle with the camera settings, even when it is below 0!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Gloves, January 27, 2012
I spend a considerable amount of time outside at my job in the midwest. Because winters are COLD here I needed gloves that could stand up to the elements. These gloves keep my hands very warm. You can pull back the flap for times when you need to be a bit more nimble and when your fingers get cold, put the flap back and they'll warm right back up again.
They dry quickly and are ready for use whenever I need them. I would recommend these gloves to any one. You won't be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ordered 2 pairs, January 10, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered 2 pairs of men's, one large and one extra large, due to a previous review on sizing. I kept the large for myself(I'm a woman) due to trouble with circulation in 'gloves'. I do find the finger part somewhat tight so I'll see how it goes when I wear them for an extended period of time. I gave the extra large to my son who has worn this type of mitten/glove when he had an outdoor job. I was impressed with how fast they were delivered. I ordered on a Friday morning and received them the following Monday.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the nature photographer, September 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been looking for the perfect pair of gloves when out shooting in the winter time. These should fit the bill perfect finally. I wish there was less material on the thumb but I understand that staying warm has a few penalties for using the camera. A least with this pair the penalties are few and far between. Highly recommended!

Great gloves. Received them today just in time for a good snow storm. Took the dog for a walk in about 25 degrees, and had perfectly warm hands for a good period of time. Kept the snow/water out, and feel solid enough to last. Good gloves for the price thus far, very happy.
