This review is from: THE MAP CATALOG (Paperback)
If your the adventurous type and are wondering where you can find that certain map, then this just might be the book for you. Learn where to obtain all different kinds of Land Maps such as Aerial, Agricultural, Census, CIA, Foreign, Geological, Space Imagery, Treasure, etc.. Also where to find Sky Maps, Water Maps and Map products. It is an old book, so some of the addresses may be outdated, but with the internet nowadays this book should give you a starting point on where to search for those illusive maps.

Valuable information in a fragile package,

This review is from: The Map Catalog (Hardcover)
This is a great collection of information about maps and charts for almost every purpose, on land or sea or in the air. Many, many kinds of maps are represented here, together with information about places to get them. The book has a so-called "perfect binding" (signatures are glued together, not sewn). And, since the pages are very heavy because they are coated with clay in order to be glossy, sections of the book tend to pull loose from the spine. A long-lived reference work such as this one ought to be sewn together, not glued. |
